Actually glad I wasn’t able to try this time - zero angst
For some reason my card was declined. Oh well. I'll try again.

Luckily I managed again to get what I was after. Although not a Jubilee this time obviously. For whatever reason it seems to be working for me.
That's me done for now though I think so happy to try again next time and see if i can grab one for another forum member.
After trying and failing three times in a row, I didn't bother this time around. I've never had so much trouble getting my order placed within time (UK based).
Although not a Jubilee I did get lucky this time and scored a plexi Commando without too much trouble, I have been after one of these for sometime so on my ninth or tenth attempt I finally got it.
Surprisingly stress free compared to my previous unsuccessful attempts, looks like nobody was after a plexi Commando this time around....
Strange. It was showing as Sold Out when I looked half an hour before the store opened.
I was lucky yesterday. The Silver Jubilee is comming! Cant wait...
Oh, look - almost a week after he "sold" the watch for £900 via this auction, it is relisted in a regular auction. Currently at £450 after two days. Same serial number 225/500.
Someone who lies about the little things will lie about the big things too.
Yes can’t trust any of these sellers. Even Eddie has pointed out for a seller from the states that he had only purchased three watches total but it was showing up as though he had sold many more than three of Eddie’s pieces. So clearly it’s them just trying to jack up the price.
Took the Silver Jubilee for a dip.
(It’s a photo clip from a video btw).

Great stuff Ralph.
Does the dial also sparkle under water?
Got a new watch, divers watch it is, had to drown the bastard to get it!
Nice one Ralph.

I really like the look of the SJ on rubber. I asked Ralphy about details of the strap and butterfly clasp and he kindly advised that the strap had edelstahl (which translates as stainless steel) but I can't find anything that looks similar to this (with apologies to Ralphy for using his photo).
Can anyone suggest where I might look, I really do want the butterfly clasp and not the usual pin and buckle arrangement.
Thanks.

Looks like Sinn’s silicone strap. https://www.watchbuys.com/store/pc/S...nish-p1492.htm

I thought Hirsch used to do a rubber strap that looked like that, but on some casual googling I can't see one. Possibly more in-depth searching might find it?

Skating away on the thin ice of a new day
This time i have sucessfully gone through the payment complete but when it came back to timefactors website...it's said out of stock ! @14:00:59 !
Finally got in! Had alerted my bank beforehand and at last the payment went through. Excited!
Here is a chance to win a Silver Jubilee Everest and do something good at the same time:

Guess I'm not supposed to have a Silver Jubilee
It seems to be quite an elusive curved strap/butterfly clasp combo going on here.

I finally got my Silver Jubilee today. I didn't post that I'd been successful at the shop because I didn't want to tempt fate.
It arrived today and I've already sized the bracelet and got it on my wrist.
It feels small compared to the Dreadnought Polar I was wearing this morning but very much like my Rolex Datejust which is also on a Jubilee bracelet and which I love.
For my little wrist I've taken out 6 links, which were a dream to remove because of the screw-in pins.
I'm looking forward to wearing this.

I know what you mean. I was successful after about 6 or 7 attempts, but it wasn’t a Jubilee, it was one of the other watches. I haven’t heard anything yet, so I assume Eddie dispatches across the whole two weeks before the shop opens up again. I’ve seen a couple of comments from people who bought last Sunday and have had theirs. I must be at the back of the queue.
I am super excited. Mine arrived last week. The Jubilee bracelet looks very solid. This is a great kind of an upgrade. And that dial, wow!
Some may have seen that I need to replace a tyre, however the girlfriend does have some stored brownie points. She secured this for me last weekend. Again, the bank declined my card payment as fraud, but we both tried and she was successful.
We've got the watch as a birth year watch for my son, who is due 8th May. The limited edition number is 84, shame it couldn't have been 85 as they could have tied in nicely with the due date.
Anyway, I did not expect to like this watch as much as I do. The dial just sparkles and is very difficult to capture. The size is also refreshingly small.
A quick pic before I've resized the bracelet...
I didn’t manage to get one. I do think the jubilee lol really works. I have a homage version I was rocking today.

I missed this completely but love the pictures of it - that dial is superb and I do like a jubilee bracelet !
Cheers

Go on, try your luck. There can't be many better things that you could do with a tenner at the moment.

Congrats to the lucky ones showing their newly arrived Silver Jubilees.
Beautiful pictures!
Still hoping ....guess we will have another shot this Sunday?
I think people haven’t figured out daylight savings time, which probably helped.
