It’s coming to that time of year!
I like to wear a nice jumper for work, usually get from Next as the fit well and are quite fashionable but the quality this season is poor.
Can anyone recommend anywhere to get a few nice jumpers at a reasonable price?
Don’t want to spend a lot as I can go from behind a desk with a customer to under a printing press in the space of an hour!

M&S have some surprisingly nice options. I’d never considered them (too young for M&S…) but a few things caught my eye when shopping for my Dad recently.

TK Maxx have more jumpers than you can shake a s***ty stick at. Plus you can actually try them on and check yourself out in a handily placed full length mirror.
Crew clothing are worth a look,I have three from them ,they have stood the test of time so far.
I only buy merino now as it’s soft, breathable and holds its shape. Uniqlo have some at a very reasonable price.
This ^^^^^^^^! Watch out for strange strange sizing as thats often why foreign brands are in there. Eg L is M or even S . Sometimes able to pick up 80%Cashmere jumpers for <£30 which is win win for me. So check size and if like me avoid acrylic.

Although their website can be annoying and I wish they would sort their pricing model out (if you can always get 30% off why advertise the higher price) gap do some great basic clothes. I would go as far as saying their t-shirts are the best fit I've found. Same price as next, much better quality
Depends what you want, all my work stuff I buy from primark and as a brand snob the quality is actually pretty good. Got some stuff the weekend gone, nice quality black jeans for £10 - really soft and comfy, decent quality jumpers for £6-15 that again are soft and comfy.
TK Max is worth a browse, but can be hit or miss.
They're merino wool so I try not to wash them unless I have to but so far they've been ok.
I used to wear Boss merino wool jumpers and I can't notice a huge difference between the two.
Another vote for Uniqlo, one of my favourite stores.
Their merino wool jumpers are very good quality, last well and a very reasonable price.

I've just returned two merino zip-necks to Tyrrwhit because the quality of wool was Appalling (didn't even try them on) - reordered a couple more from M&S

Another vote for uniqlo, although be warned they charge for any returns, so pay particular attention to their sizing.
If you are looking for thermal's this winter then look for their heatech range. Decent enough for around the house without costing the earth.

Better off taking a bit of time and trying some on in a shop.

But buying 'in store' is very limited in terms of stock and sizes available. Online you'll have the full range for any product line available and can order multiple sizes to see which fits best, then return the ones that don't. Just check that free returns are included in the price.
Well after looking at those it’s certainly fair to say they’re not fashion items! They also look expensive and lower quality as most of the merino seems to blended with acrylic.
Uniqlo for me too - great value, excellent range and good quality. If you do pop into a store they have these cool self-service checkouts where you just dump all your items in a well and the tags are scanned automatically and you just follow the instructions on the screen to confirm and pay.
To be fair, these would be termed more 'classic', nothing wrong with that as they are more versatile and can be worn in the office as well going out, not just the golf course. According to the Glenmuir website, the marino/acrylic combo seems to be reserved for the jerseys that are more water repellent, other jerseys are 100% wool. Cost wise, for a decent wool jersey, that's par for the course, I wouldn't say they are overly expensive and like anything else in life, you pays your money, you makes your choice.

Try the Paul Smith shop at Cheshire Oaks . They have a great selection normally .
Their pullovers are good quality and wash really well .
I didn't because they were cheap....
But the roll necks i got are quality
