There's a ''It's a piece of art'' in the description which probably explains the price.
Now I'm no bike expert but this looks incredibly expensive at £2500, especially as you have to self-build it and there's a fair few negative comments.

£2.5k is reasonable these days...most bikes that are delivered need some assembly.

Is it a Moonwatch?

Yes with good-old Joop Zoetemelk (Vuelta 79, TdF 80 and WC 85) on the bike!
Joop is an icon over here!
Looks great, and if your were to build one up from Vintage / reproduction parts you’d easily spend £2500
For that money you could get an original one with a full restoration.
This is for the more money than sense nostalgia brigade.
It’s a decent bike mind ...
For some of us of a certain age, that is what a bicycle is supposed to look like. Out of my price range, otherwise I may be tempted.
I always wanted the TI, but ended up with this…
I loved it though – those were the days #nostalgia
For £2500 thats definitely style over substance but then again, I'd say something like the Moonwatch is exactly the same.
Yes, I like the Moonwatch, but I bought my first one brand new from a dealer for £1000 in 2000. Seeing that exact same watch, unchanged 20 years later for £4260 is 2.5x that price after having taken inflation into account. It's a nice design, but it's pretty basic compared to other offerings in that price range. Any other model in that range would certainly not have that basic a movement or a hesalite crystal. Just like the bike, I feel there's a huge proportion of the price being paid for aesthetics/romanticism/marketing rather than quality of product you get for your money.
Are bike clips and a yellow cape included?
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.
Probably worth millions.
My first 3 bikes were the same! My Grifter was metallic red though

If that is yours you might be surprised at what someone will pay for it, the decent Raleighs with Reynold frames are desirable, there is a high demand from middle aged plus blokes wanting to revisit the bikes of their youth that they either owned or lusted after.
My LBS specialises in restoring such bikes and it's a big part of their business.
There’s a guy on YouTube called Guy Kestavan who does bike/bike kit reviews and he loves it to bits, actually has done a full ride review.
Personally I like it from a retro/modern bike point of view.
As a youth I used to have a Raleigh Record Sprint and loved it to bits, black and gold, very stylish. Lol.
Cheers,
Ben
