I can happily report that my stop at 25,780 for DJIA futures has just been taken out. That is one half of the position which I sold at 27,200 about three weeks ago. The low was 24,500 two weeks ago (and close to that yesterday morning). The other half is still alive, but...
a little more news from this morning
"Crispin Odey is preparing to sue Germany's financial regulator for millions of pounds worth of lost profit after it banned the short selling of Wirecard shares for two months last year. Mr Odey has made about £25m from short-selling shares in Wirecard, the German payments company which filed for insolvency last week and is now the subject of multiple investigations around the world."- The Times

Tesla vs Amazon. Similar pattern but look at the difference in scale!
NASDAQ is not an index as such, it's a trading venue and their indices just capture the entirety of the stocks listed on it (or the 100 largest ones in the NASDAQ 100).
The discussion about Tesla is that they would qualify for inclusion in the S&P 500 index (and would stay on the NASDAQ at the same time as long as their stock is listed there) once they have shown a positive quarter and many are speculating that this would drive a lot of buying from ETFs and index funds. Experience says that it's extremely difficult to benefit from such predictable events and a common strategy is to 'buy the rumour and sell the fact', oftentimes leading on a poor performance once the goal has actually been reached.
Meanwhile new cases in the USA continues to accelerate.

Baillie Gifford Global Alpha Growth fund cntained 1.4% Tesla as of the last available public report (January 2020).
Tesla is not one of the top 10 holdings as per 31 May, but Shopify is. Tesla didn't make the top 10 in January, but considering their performance I assume the fund will have at least trimmed the holding or Tesla would be in the top 10 now.
Cheers Raffe, I didnt know the info about individual share holdings within a fund was so readily available.
Well, to the OPs question... not Rolls Royce, as I had thought. I just got murdered today on that stock :(

Unbelievable really.
Not to jinx it or anything Ryan, but you didn't think you'd win that one either, right?
Four trading sessions to go until Thursday.

What I said at the time was that Raffe should win that bet but I felt the markets were acting irrationally and in line with what I experienced in the Crypto markets a couple of years back where hype and FOMO was prevalent. One day rationality returns and the whole thing comes crashing down brutally. So in the end Raffe will be right for sure. It was all about timing and irrationality is still king for now. It won't be at some time in the (near) future. No way is the economy as strong as what the indexes would indicate. The people who have returned to pubs etc aren't the people with the highest spending power who ultimately dictate the strength of the economy. I'll take another bet with someone that we will see minimum 25% wiped off from today (friday's) DJIA value at some stage before year end. FOMO will be replaced with just fear.

You have to laugh.
Elon has mocked short sellers, by selling limited edition Tesla shorts. 🤣

Stamp duty being reduced by any chance?
I think for those of us approaching middle age that have assets and earn moderately well there is very little prospect of anything other than more, rather than less, tax for the rest of our working lives.
And their retirement age will be 70+ and final salary schemes all shut down

It gets crazier by the day. Tesla up another 10% to $1,340. JPM upped their price target from $275 to $295.
