Well since we're all trying to build bridges, my answer was genuine too. Those two watches in the original post could be described as slab-sided. Still, let's not allow that to get in the way of a good over-reaction.
Apology accepted. It’s an unusual question to say the least but I don't see any problem with trying to educate yourself. I wouldn't get wound up by the jesters, just skip past posts that aren't helpful to you, there's usually some valuable input along the way such as the above from bobc.
Post #106, using @ instead of "a" doesn't stop that looking crass in a public area of the forum. The owner and sole moderator really doesn't like profanity in the public fora here, or indeed the quoting if it.
F.T.F.A.
Nah, we won't see. I really don't care about you. You behaved in a reactionary way, wilfully took offence at nothing, wilfully misunderstood a further comment and behaved like a spoilt little brat. You're going on my ignore list, I won't see further drivel from you. I'll get on with my day and you can continue with your self-righteous indignation at imagined slights.
Check the bezel and dial shape, they define the case shape.
But don't take my word for it.

Some predictions are easy.
Someone who lies about the little things will lie about the big things too.
Googling "scalloped integrated crownguards" produces literally zero results. I should have put the inverted commas around 'correct'. I was definitely right that it's not worth knowing.
In the past I've just called the overall design "556-style", because most people know what the Sinn 556 looks like, and the rest of the watch is much less memorable - the shape is the first element that comes to mind.
I've been wanting a 556i for so long. But I also want it to be totally smashed up and they're a bit pricey for that treatment.
It was entertaining this thread and like a boxer if he’s still defending and throwing punches then the fight should go on, why did the ref call it off??

Thank the lord it's over. Earlier in the thread, I offered a link to an article which suggested that Rolex were the first to use an "integrated crown guard". So maybe there's the answer. It took me about 30 seconds on Google to find it.
By the looks of it, perhaps his sarky, in your face argumentative attitude was too much..
