    Hi Ralphy,
It was the correct link. LB (hatman14) did not post again once the s*** hit the fan and his role (or otherwise) in a fellow-tzuk-member being barred from buying the watch from the shop in which he works was questioned. It is an eye-opening thread if you do get five minutes to read.

Yep, I had those too! Managed to get the full set eventually, god knows where they ended up. Fortunately we lived a couple of hundred yards away from a Shell outlet (also the local Austin/Morris/MG dealer), sometimes were given extra coins. I think 1969/70 was the time.

Come on, LB, we'd love to hear !
He hasn't got the melons, just shows exactly what he was, I wonder how head offices investigation is going on with him selling numerous male and female rolexes and new Daytona straps when he hasn't ever owned a Daytona...........

"The Ital was first launched on 1 July 1980. It took its name from Giorgetto Giugiaro's ItalDesign studio, who had been employed by BL to manage the re-engineering of the Morris Marina, a car which had been produced by the company since 1971. Although the redesigned car was named Ital after the design studio, it was actually Harris Mann who was responsible for the car's new look. BL's advertising, however, emphasised the car's connection with the Italian styling house Italdesign, who had in fact merely produced the design. It was originally planned to brand the car as the Morris Marina Ital, but for most markets the Marina name was dropped on the orders of Michael Edwardes and only the Ital name was used."

"The Morris Isis name was first briefly used by Morris Motors LImited on a six-cylinder car made from 1929 to 1931. It was resurrected on a new six-cylinder midsize car from the British Motor Corporation in the 1950s to replace the Morris Six MS. The name died out in 1958."

Isis the local name for the Thames in Oxfordshire. The Cowley plant can't have been far from it.

Indeed, I always remember the crestfallen look on old Mr Carey's face when I came into the shop on my monthly mission to purchase aniseed balls with the two pounds my grandmother had just given me.

That's it! Make me feel REALLY old - I can remember buying 4 blackjacks or fruit salads for 1D on the way to school!

Don't Cadbury's do a "Rum and Raisin" Dairy Milk these days? If so, I guess that explains the Old Jamaica mystery...

    Seems I do remember rightly - https://www.cadbury.co.za/Home/Produ...09357B27A09%7D
