    Low cost second hand laptop?

We have an old Dell E521 PC and thanks to some kind souls suggestion on TZ I'm now hooked on 'World of Tanks'
Now the Dell is slow and keeps running a frame rate of 10 fps which gets you killed.
So I'm thinking maybe a laptop is the answer but what do I need to play and not be at a diss advantage?
Would a secondhand laptop be an option as I can't justify lots of money just to play a game and read watch forums :-)

A laptop wont help you either. How much are you willing to spend?

Err...looking to spend as little as possible (unrealistic?)
    Why not a lap top?

I doubt that a budget second hand laptop will improve the frame rate. Is there the option to replace the graphics card in the PC? Depending on what it is now you may be able to improve performance.

A £50 laptop will be slower than what you have.

I would suggest a athon x2 6000 cpu and a Ati 5770 graphic card second hand should be do able for less that £60 if you know someone who can fit the stuff for you

Tanks is a bit more demanding than you might imagine. On my £750 2013 Dell (Outlet) laptop with reasonable graphics card (640M), I have to lower the resolution and knock down the settings. It isn't as much fun to play as on my main gaming PC where everything is set to ultra or max.
Bear in mind that laptops have inherent heat issues so their graphics cards are tuned down to help avoid that.

It all depends on what you're prepared to tolerate. I can't stand any frame stutter, and Tanks on max is really good looking. Turn it down and it becomes flat. Gaming costs money.

That's because the wife wants a laptop come what May but I now know that won't help my 'WOT' gaming experience.
So more ram and a better secondhand graphics card for the Dell is as good as I can hope for...so about £60 :-)

Probably over your budget but I bought a refurbished Dell Inspiron with an i5 and a Radeon 7730M for about £400 a year ago from here: http://www.dell.co.uk/outlet/

It runs WoT like a dream. If you ever fancy some platoon action my WoT name is "Lampoc" :)
