This Breitling landed on my doorstep today - care of Breitling Online Team.
Breitling Navitimer Ref 806 1959 Re-Edition
It was ordered Thursday evening and arrived Saturday morning by RMSD. Can't really fault that for service. The delivery box was quite large so I thought to myself - here we go - a limited edition in a HUGE box set
But then I realised the majority of this was packaging! Underneath all the packages was the 'standard' Breitling sized box within a '59 printed cardboard box
in which was a
which itself was the standard brown leather cased travel box
Within this box was a comprehensive set of documents made up of: guarantee e-card and warranty booklet and holder; instructions for use, instructions for use for the Slide-rule; Card-board Slide-rule; COSC Certificate; Limited Edition Certificate
Also there is a couple of hang-tags with the watch
Oh - did you guys want to see a watch? Not before a bit of a history lesson.
I am not such a WIS to have infinite watch knowledge intrinsically - I did get a few comments on TZ that my reviews are just cut and paste from websites - but I try to make them my own experience but include relevant information from external sources - so I will not repeat the content here - but invite the reader to check these various articles that effectively say one thing: A superb re-edition

A few key points about the watch:
Manual Wind (new B09 movement - integrated column wheel chronograph with vertical clutch with 1/4th sec precision - based on the auto B01)
Diameter: 40.9mm
94 beads on the bezel - same as the 1959 edition of the Navitimer
wrt: 30 metres
Hand-Applied Super-Luminova - colour matched to radium which of course is not allowed in current manufacturing
High-domed acrylic glass - crystal (not Sapphire)
Snap-on case back and non-screw down crown
Black vintage style leather strap with white accents and pin-buckle signed buckle
Oh - ok then - here are some watch pictures:
the buckle
and some idea of the domed crystal
case back
I am just timing the watch overnight to check it's within COSC specification - Breitling gives an option to return within 14days if the watch is unworn. But I doubt I will be returning.
Timing is within COSC so kept it!
Thanks for reading. Martyn
