Thanks Chaps, it’s appreciated. My breathing deteriorated rather rapidly and at one point I thought I could peg it but a combination of oxygen, steroids and nebuliser eventually restored order (after 10 hours in A&E). There's no infection, no asthma and no blood conditions. They think it might jhust be a COPD flare-up.

Its heartening to see the observations from one email can result in a swathe of concern for the boss. Many of us have never met the guy , but others, myself included use the forum daily and wear his watches. What a great spirit we have on here. To echo the above I trust the medical interventions settle you down again Eddie and you recuperate quickly.

My younger brother has had lifelong asthma and now COPD. It's a scary thing to see him have an attack. So please keep doing what the docs and nurses tell you.
