I find a couple of "nice watch" posts an hour gets you there quickly. The Friday thread is a goldmine, you can be up 20 or 30 posts in no time.
Of course, adding 20 or 30 "nice watch" posts in hour will be frowned up. Especially in the Friday watch thread where the temptation can be difficult to resist.

And don't forget your post count can be reset to zero at any time. It's a minefield out there.

I've made 280+ posts and been here since November, still can't reply to threads or create one on SC.

Yes, it’s 250 posts AND six months so you’ve a while to wait yet.
Think I’ll save all my stuff to sell till I’m allowed to post, then they’ll think I’m a trader.

How about being able to see photo links? lots of SC threads have pic attachments that I don’t have the privelidge of viewing. Is that a post count thing too?
It's to sort out those who don't contribute anything to the discussion or see this a free sort of e-bay.
BTW - there are places on the forum where we discuss what you post, the quality of your contribution etc. By the time the 6 months 250 posts are up we'll know the cut of your jib. That's right, SC is not the only place where you don't get instant access. How scary is that?
I had well over a thousand posts before I was allowed to post on the SC, or take a peek behind the curtains....
But during those months I was read-only I bought something very nice from champagne_james, something I still have.

The holy grail of SC. Just imagine all those under-priced Rolexes. Perhaps not.
With PMs though, there doesn’t seem to be any way to open the inbox on the Apple tz UK app. So it’s super easy to miss PMs if one is primarily just mobile based. Or am I unique to this and there really is a tab for inbox on the app which I can’t find ?

But how easy will it be to part?
For example, the four in the photo, were all purchased new by me from UK ADs and are linked with some special occasion.
The two SD's I waited yonks for. Even the Z-33 took 3 months to arrive. I'm not yet bored with any of them.
And then there's those that now don't see the light of day which were gifted or bequeathed - how can I sell those?
It's a lot easier to buy than to sell.
