Just watched all 3 series in a busy 4 days ont tinterweb. Best thing on the telly for a while. Never heard of most of the cast before but some good performances esp Cillian Murphy and the birds he pipes
Why didn't Tommy just shoot him in his office. Seemed a bit odd discussing how each side thought it would turn out. Bullet through the head, one less to worry about.
I'll assume you haven't looked at my post history and not take the hump.
Tommy had a semi-auto 1911 Colt in .45 ACP. I have one chambered in .22lr. I just timed myself at 3-4 seconds to pick up a dummy round, lock the slide back, drop dummy in chamber, release slide and assume the firing position. The .22 is much smaller than a .45 obviously and is actually more difficult to chamber manually than the fat .45. You can do this with most semi-autos.
No, of course I haven’t looked at your post history but I’m always happy to stand corrected. I was under the impression that the magazine would have to be removed in order to load the cartridge.
Anyway, our new Italian friend would have still considered that eventuality. 3-4 seconds would have been plenty of time for him to draw his own weapon and finish off Tommy. Not much honour in that though (and a very short series!)
Funnily enough PB seemed to have passed me by until my wife suggested it on the recommendation of a friend.
We’re only on series 1, but think it’s excellent.
Reminds me a bit of Boardwalk Empire with its post-WWI themes.
Get on to Village Hats for their sale. Look the part me, walking round Sainsburys. :)

I wish the wifes granddad was still here, mind you he would be 115 now, but I bet he would have known a few stories about the PB. The wife was saying she can remember him in the sixties wearing his flat cap and overcoat then, and they did not live far from the Garrison.
Caps on lads, 9pm.
In a way described (“ an organisation of a different dimension”) they are . I believe at that period the early American cosa nostra were a ruthless , efficient , penetrating and more ambitious than the peakies. It’s interesting to see if this ‘Luca Changretta’ is fresh paisano of the boat New York era ( like Vito corleone ) or we are led to believe the mafia has already formed its Five families ?
Or is he just a Black Hand type ?
I understand there is a blood feud for murdering angel but I wondered to which faction they belong ? Is it Salvatore Maranzano , Anastasia and Joe Masseria time in New York or before ? Or total fiction in the series

We don’t care which faction they belong to we are going to hav em, they killed our brother.
Polly is a dirty double crosser, or is she just badly in need of a Fu$k
It's beginning to get even dafter.
The arch Italian is becoming a take off off the God Father with mannerisms and his side kicks complaining about British food was pure comedy - what the f*** is this spotted dick.
Having said all that, the production is excellent, pity that the plot is becoming mad.
Love the advice, 'keep their balls empty and their bellys full'.
Great advice, must remind the wife of that one when I buy her a Japanese silk outfit
Bearing in mind they're in Birmingham City heartland I liked the subtle dig at the dirty prostitute coming from Aston. Outstanding irony!

The Commy who is about to start boinking Tommy, innit.
Get ready boys Tom Hardy is back tonight, it’s going to get rough
So Polly is a double crossing bitch. You just have to love Tom Hardy in this part
Brilliant, roll on next week.
Belting telly, with an equally belting soundtrack.
Just been looking to see if they do the soundtrack, but nothing yet.
It's on 6.

Thanks for that :)
And if you want to read about the brilliant theme song and watch the video... https://nypost.com/2016/06/22/the-un...rs-theme-song/
I reckon Polly's told Tommy and Michael's about to get in the crap for not telling him. Or something. I wish I could understand what Tom Hardy says.
