If you want either in the next year you'll already need to be on a list.
* unless you want to pay watchfinder list +50%
All the lovely new versions of the SS Rolexes that are rumoured to be released this year are unfortunately out of reach for many of us.
Many years ago it was only the Daytona that have a long waiting list. Now if you don't have a relationship with your AD then prepared to pay over list for any of the desirable models with grey dealers.
As for waiting list..........yes you will be waiting that for sure!
ADs I spoke to are also taking deposits on a Coke GMTc, just in case it gets released.... if not the buyers arent bothered, theres always something else to buy. Being Rolex SA must be so easy...
Omega to do something nice in 40mm instead of the usual 42 or 44mm.

So I was wearing my Kermit last night and loving how the maxi dial and bezel lift the watch so much.
I've never been a huge fan of cyclops and was thinking how nice it would be without it.
It got me thinking since there's a bit of speculation about a 50th anniversary SD model, and possibly some DRSD homage, what if they do as they did with the Sub ie. A Green Bezel with maxi dial. That would be a bit special.
If this has already been mooted my apologies.
I've heard chat that the anniversary SD, if indeed exists, will be blue themed. Which will be a disappointment frankly.
I see no logic for the blue theme, no attraction for most I would have thought. Neither do I see the attraction of a Hulk no date.
I'd be content with a pepsi/coke steel GMT or a red-themed SD.
I would like to see rolex put out a sub in the old case but with a ceramic bezel..

Hey all - new here so I will jump straight in with a stupid/probably repetitive question!
Personally I'm not sure if there will be a Coke GMT - with all the marketing they are throwing behind the BLNR and Roger Federer at the moment. However, if the did choose to release them, what do you think happens to the BLNR? Do Rolex typically do away with it and just run with the standard black, Coke and Pepsi Gold; or will they continue with the 4 options?

No. Platinum is reserved for the ice blue dial 50th Sea-Dweller this year
It's just a matter of time...
I really like the look of that black dialled annual calendar day date!
The black bezel white dial Explorer looks like a TAG.
No way Rolex would release the red SD. I reckon Rolex are all about evolution. Slow, maddening, but always moving forward. They have Tudor for cashing in with the fan-service remakes. Even less likely to see the red SD now they've released the red Pelagos.
