Did anyone ever buy this watch?...

I'd be interested to know if anyone ever brought the beatles watch? I was quite interested at the time as I thought it might be a collectors piece but then the novelty wore off.

I didn't, even though I love The Beatles... perhaps that's why.

To me it's just like these watches dedicated to military divisions, historic planes, cars etc. Unless there is a historical affiliation between the watch and the beatles (e.g a re-release of a watch one of them wore), then it's just a shameless money grab!

No but there is still an opportunity to buy one at my local Rolex dealer of you fancy one. I sure they would be only too pleased to offload it, er I mean see you.

A bizarre "homage" as far as i'm concermed; stick the names of some of their records on a dial and it's a Beatles watch ? Bonkers.

There was a thread here about it. The watch wasn't popular.

Even if it's cheap, I'll let it be.

I bought one but flipped it immediately so it was a case of Hello, Goodbye.

Would've bought one if my finances were in order, but just couldn't get them to Come Together.

I probably shouldn't be laughing so hard at all these 'puns', but ah well.

    Eleanor Rigby,
Looks at the watch on the wrists of her man,
    Thinks it's so bland.
He looks out the window, wearing a watch
That he bought when the price hit the floor.
    What is it for?

    Why would it be collectable?

A Beatles watch worth having would be a minute repeater that played, say, the first few bars of, say, Hey Jude? But that didn't say 'Beatles' anywhere.
