It is rather an incredible bit of kit. Like being a kid again reading the instructions and trying everything out!!

I do rather like the look of the mudman too - very nice. I can sense a yellow strap arriving soon!!

For those with a solar powered version, if I gave it a full charge then left it in a drawer, how long would the charge last?

I thought that was going to be a Schrödinger's cat question :)

I think certain models go into 'sleep mode' so quite a while id have thought

Months. Some of mine have been in darkness for months and only drop to medium charge. All I do then is pop it next to the window for the day.

I think the charge will last 6 months in total darkness.

Managed to get a replacement strap screw for the one that I lost on dartmoor, so Frogman is back in action.

If you scroll down the page ¥ 80,000 or about £ 438 looks nice I must say.

Thanks, I was hoping if an international price was known, g shock pricing can be a bit odd at times...

I got it for around 470 USD here in HK. But I wanted it quick and early - so I paid a premium. I guess after awhile, if you can wait, it should be around 420 USD or perhaps even lower. But I don't know the UK/ European market.

Been looking into getting one, from seiya in Japan it is 566 USD but with import charges ( 20 % vat and whatever parcel force charge for handling ) just under £500 and watch shop in the UK are doing them for 565 GBP with a RRP of 650GBP.

470 USD in HK, is a great price.

Might hang on for a while, as have a few other G shocks to wear. Great watch though.
