I don't hate it, might grow on me, however the 007 seconds hand is too much I think. As always I think it probably looks a lot nicer in the flesh than the promotional pics on Omega's website do.

This and their 38mm offerings. Have Omega actually lost the plot

It is entirely plausible that Commander James Bond would have been issued with an OMEGA watch.
WTF! I supposed you'll be allowed to wear the supplied 'ribbon' above your breast pocket to complete the fantasy/walt look?

Not a fan of the watch but like the presentation, and it comes with a bracelet.

Omega seem to be working really hard on devaluing their brand.

    Dear God that is horrific!

Why wouldn't you just go for the the modern 1995 version?

Mind you as a limited edition of 7,007, I reckon we should get our orders in so we can make killing on flipping at Snoopy levels when they get released!

As I have said before Omega just keep whipping the life out of the same models and deriding their good name in the watch world, using tacky 007 theme FGS..

Basically Omega are turning into a big CW which is a shame with all their money and brand following, they could come up with better watches than this surely..

Could you see Rolex stooping this low?

Agree, but same polar dial without the silly secret agent stuff and I think a totally different watch.

I can just imagine how the Omega Product Committee meeting went...

Design: "Won't the cognoscenti despise the brand a little bit more for another gaudy limited edition?"

Marketing: "Yes, but they don't buy many watches compared to the wealthy but uninformed."

Design: "We may as well put a 007 second hand on it then."

    Marketing: "Great idea!"

Design: "I was actually being sarcastic" --struck from the minutes

Bond? Thought it was a July 4th special. The Omega is coming! The Omega is coming!

It is amusing to see the herd mentality and the flat, unfunny comments (inspite of people trying hard).
I think it is a nice departure from usual divers. It is colorful but not gaudy,IMO.
007 connection is what it is. Doesn't bother me.
I dare say it is better than 90% of the watches I see on the forum.
I do agree that too many special additions do dilute the brand but if one has to have an LE, better this than a Speedy Tuesday. I am sure this will get sold out.

It's the perfect watch for this "Suave and stately" chap. The strap even has a "double navy cadette" stripe.

I wonder if it also comes with a blazer badge and tie set?

The green text (the same general shape and color of the submarine) going down into the deep dark abyss on the James Cameron DSSD dial was similarly silly and hackneyed. So, yes. Before that watch, no.

I think it is rather nice looking summer watch (apart from the second hand). While I also think that they are devaluating their own brand with these "limited" editions, at least they are giving a lot of options to their buyers.

From the brand that put a cartoon dog on a dial, comes a dog of a watch.

I've been meaning to ask this - is this kind of Snoopy Speedy hate ("putting a cartoon dog on a watch dial is retarded") real or are people mostly joking? I like it as a joke, but I also see the potential controversy, despite it's being historically justified.

I don't get the cartoon watch thing, link to fictional characters or why it makes it valuable (ie the snoopy speedy) - but its down to personal taste and I wouldn't insult anyone over their choices.

Certainly don't hate the Snoopy watch or indeed the brand, but nor would I wear one or indeed a James Bond watch. I get the history angle of the Snoopy and the moon watch, but Omega seem to be out to corner the 'special edition' market, some might think its fun, but it edges me just a bit away from the whole brand.

agree - I can't see how these enrich the brand.

Omega shouldn't be compared with the worst forum watches though. That's not good enough - as any decent CEO would agree.

Nobody has to try too hard to insult this watch - the reason the comments aren't all funny is because there is genuine dismay at the crassness of it.

If Omega treats its customers with disdain then it's only fair to return the favour.

No doubt it will fare better in markets where there is demand for shoes with a compass in the heel.

I try to see the good in most of their Bond editions, and I like the Skyfall Aqua Terra, but this 'thing' is a rotter.

The box has a lot of comedy value though. Should give us all a chuckle when displayed in some poor mugs window
