Incoming - Glashutte Original Seventies Panorama Date

I just got this from Richard (RickS) after he replied to my WTB and we arranged to meet this morning - It's a Glashutte Original Seventies Panorama Date.

I've been after something blue for a while, and after considering a few other options ... I came back to a watch I've had on my list for some time since it was released a few years ago ...

After seeing a couple of examples ... what surprised me was the variation in the versions of this watch.
    - This is the earlier version ... the later version has a blue date dial ... but the bit that surprised me was how much lighter the later dial was. Quite noticeable.
I actually now prefer the date dial contrast and the darker shade of blue on this one - another surprise as I was pretty sure I wanted the other version having seen it first.

Other points of note ... the micro-adjustment. This is a first for me .. and is an excellent feature.
Clasp has 8 indents and you simply push bracelet in the required amount. Push in the GO logo on the clasp to release - very nice IMO.

It wears very nice ... possibly down to the scalloped back which you can see here..

I'm probably going to get the GO Blue leather strap that the watch is now available on ... most of my watches have OEM strap/bracelet combos.

Dial Colour comparison .. and leather strap option:

    Thanks for reading ...

A beautiful watch and one that I've always had a soft spot for. If I was being ultra-picky, I'd suggest the more recent version with the blue date wheel would be preferable to the white wheel but it's a corker either way!

A beauty! I don't normally like square (or near-square) watches, but GO really pulled it off here!

I would love a PP nautilus, but keep having hankering towards one of these

Huge fan of the brand - recently checked one of these out in Dubai, it's amazing how they just ooze quality, yet are totally subtle and understated

The micro adjustment is a very clever piece of engineering. Even the link removing mechanism is a joy-effective & wonderfully simple.

Beautiful, and one on my radar too once my current financial weirdness corrects later this year.

That micro-adjust, basically the same as the glide lock system?

Surprised I missed this post. Congrats Ian on getting the watch you wanted. They are cracking pieces that are so well made and designed.

    Enjoy

p.s. let me know if you track down OEM strap options, I'd be really interested to know
