Seiko 'military' chronographs - holiday watch potential?

Have any of you had experience of one of these? I'm thinking they might be good contenders for a holiday watch!

40mm diameter without crown, 11mm thick, 100m WR..... might be tempted!

    Likey or no-likey?

Likey for sure. And not just for a holiday watch!

I too prefer the older one, in fact I've just ordered a SNDA57P1 for just over a ton on Amazon.

Yes, i can see why you'd prefer that - the only thing putting me off is the reported size. Is it really 43mm without crown? and do you know the lug spacing?

    Cheers, Colin

There's a few reviews online, and most of them list it at 43mm without crown. Lug width is 22mm (again, based on reviews)

I like the blue faced one, nice layout, but I couldn't live with the date window.

I had one of those I got off here using a WTB. I bought it as a beater but found it a little too big to wear whilst working. I sold it on SC for about £65 if I remember correctly. It's a really nice watch, just didn't do what I wanted.

I agree! There are several different Seiko chronographs that look great and much nicer than these.

Personally I would prefer a 200m wr rated watch for a holiday watch.
