I use my Omega SMP quartz as my holiday watch. It doesn't have the GMT function but the easy time zone change is a boon as you can alter the hour hand independantly. Perfect for what I need.
I think I put one of these threads out a good year or so but nothing mentioned was to my liking. Hopefully, in that tome something has come around :-)
Currently, my Omega 2264 is my "holiday watch". Basically, if they made this as a GMT watch, it would be my ideal holiday watch. But they don't.
So I'm looking for a watch with the following attributes...
- Proper GMT setup or UTC hour hand, where the first crown position adjusts the main hour hand without stopping the time
- Not too expensive as I don't really like take expensive watches abroad
- From a brand that's well known
- A 60 minute bezel or chronograph
- Some polished surfaces to make it more versatile for dinner dress etc
- At least 100M WR
- Can be auto or quartz but tbh, I think I'd prefer quartz as it will be cheaper
- Preferably not digital as that'd just be too easy now wouldn't it
Do I need a GMT watch? Probably not but if they make a watch that fits all my criteria, at least I'd have it all in one :-)

Seiko GMTS are "true" and I think Citizens are too, so either brand might have something that suits and is affordable.
Take several - I do unless it's just a short break

Wanted - Damasko DC57
Seiko SBQJ015......Meets most of your requirements although no 60 minute bezel and the only shiny bits are on the bracelet and far outer edge of the bezel. Cracking holiday watch though and with duracet coating it can take a little abuse (not that I've tried!)
perhaps take one swatch for everday of the holliday and relax?
Action and adventure or relaxing by the pool?
Hmmm, i know you really dont want digital but a Casio G5600 would meet all your needs, be nearly indestructible and you would have chnage from £70......
Funnily enough a Great White GMT Seamaster has just popped up on SC at a cracking price. I'd say this meets your criteria nicely!
Thanks for all the replies so far...
I have a large g-shock collection. Brilliant watches but I'm looking for that one watch I can take that will fit every holiday requirement... Dress and adventure basically
Lovely watch but no 60 minute bezel unfortunately :-(
Probably a bit expensive, but Sinn 757 UTC, or Sinn 857 UTC would fulfill all your criteria, and not bad looking watches at that
