Seiko Kinetic Mod Finished - a few pics

A few months back I asked for advice on getting my old kinetic modified (viewtopic.php?f=24&t=207816).
    It originally looked like this...

But it had fallen out of favour - as I'd gone off the yellow/gold sunburst dial.
Clearly, the watch was far from mint - but it had sentimental value & I wanted to make use of it.
I also needed wanted a beater & was considering buying a CWC G10 or similar - but modding this seemed an ideal solution.

I got some good advice from Kev (aka bubblehead ) & it appears that kinetic watches are modified less often that autos.
So there are fewer options & you have to use kinetic specific parts because the auto parts won't fit.
So the options seemed limited, but I contacted Rob at http://www.monsterwatches.eu as per Kev's suggestions & Rob was really helpful & suggested I sent the watch for modding to make sure everything fitted - before I paid.
After some investigating, Rob suggested & sourced a replacement dial from SKA465 and Sawtooth divers hands, he also changed to a black date wheel. After the first pics arrived back, this was probably my most anticipated watch incoming yet.

I returned home today from working away to find the watch had arrived safely back home & here's the result...

Rob has done a really great job IMHO & I am really, really pleased with the result.
It is now my ideal beater - probably unique too - so I am unlikely to see someone with the same.
So with help from this great forum - especially bubblehead - I solved 2 problems in one go.
My only dilemma now is which Nato to put it on

I'd be interested to hear your opinions - and see other kinetic mods.

    Cheers,

    z

Wow that looks much better now. I prefer the simplicity of the black nato you have the colour in the watch hands.

All down to Rob - not me.
He knew which parts were suitable & once we'd agreed on the dial - hands combo Rob sourced them then fitted them.
If you have a kinetic you've lost interest in, then it's a great way to rejuvenate it.
