That combo certainly works 8)
I've done pics before, but following on from a few ads in SC, and a request from Dougair, I thought it was about time to try and capture a few more/better photos of my favourite combination - My Omega Speedmaster Professional 3573.50 Sapphire Sandwich on OEM Omega 98000153 Brown Alligator Strap, complete with OEM Omega 94521813 Deployant Clasp.
That combo certainly works 8)
They sure do, lovely.. and great pics.
That looks great... have you ever tried a curved-end strap? Had my Speedy on a black Hirsch Leonardo, it was a perfect match.
Very Classy!
Looks good.
Very nice indeed. My own Speedy '57 reissue is on an ostrich strap.
Yup, that looks great.
Yum. Looks classy.
Looks great !!
Making mental note of the combo for when I somehow manage to get hold of the speedie I want :D
We obviously miss a wristshot here ;)
Looks good for dressing a Speedy up. I do prefer a nice Rally strap though :)

Looks good. Brings a certain gravitas to the watch.
I can't view the pics at work  I will check this out when I get home though :D
as much as my mind wants to deny a brown strap on a black faced watch.....this actually works well :thumbright:
Looking good
Really like that Ross, really adds a different side to to the Speedy :D
Looks great, the last pic in the box is a stunner.
I have tried a Leonardo before, but while the curved ends were great, the mock croc quality was poor IMO.Originally Posted by Jonah81
Thanks, I was rather pleased with that photo. I'm certainly no photographer, and with a small compact point and shoot Sony, my hands are somewhat tied...Originally Posted by Portlandgrey
That does look nice. I have previously seen the Speedy on a black rally and black croc but the brown does look good.
Very nice! How does a Speedmaster look on a NATO strap? Has anyone photographed such a combo? I think I when I own one it'll be on the black leather Omega strap with the clasp but would be keen to see how a NATO looks..
Looking good,
My favourite pic is the second last, the display back is stunning.
That looks stunning
Great combo !
yup - works for me too - lovely combination 8)
i love the brown strap / speedy combo, one of the nicest I've seen
Very nice!!
That look great, makes me wonder why I have never owned a speedy.
Looks very nice mate, I'm a big Omega fan myself and a speedy-pro is on my list to own.
Just one thing I didn't realise that you could get a speedmaster pro with a clear back, is that original or a modification?
I've always thought the Speedy looks better on leather. Nice job.
This Speedy is the 3573.50, nicknamed the sapphire sandwich.Originally Posted by Bingbonger
It's an optional £500 extra over the original 3570.50. It differs by changing the watch crystal from hesalite to sapphire, the addition of the sapphire see through caseback, and ever so slightly changing the 861 caliber to what omega call the 863. The only difference being, for the purposes of looks, a plastic component within the movement was changed to metal.
I agree with the others, the back is stunning. If its an optional extra is it really rare or did they do a 'normal run' with them?
Not rare as such. Of course, harder to come by in the used market, but you could pop to your AD today and order one in for £3300 rather than the £2800 the normal speedy pro's demand.Originally Posted by samswatch
