This is nice, what is it?
Went to Aston Martin yesterday with Pistonheads Sunday Service had a fantastic day but the highlight for me was the concept car, I do hope they make it, just stunning. There were cars all over the place, car porn in its greatest form.
Some more beauties

Never give it a thought when I parked my car till someone said is that the first electic TR6.

That's the Vanquish concept, they also showed another 'son of Valkyrie' or whatever it's called at Geneva alongside the Wankwish.
I can't help think Aston have followed the lead of Ford, Porsche and Corvette by making a mid-engine supercar for Le Mans, now the front-engine Vantage is about to become obsolete. The Le Mans rules have changed for next year too, could Aston be planning a two-pronged attack, with a 003 going for the LMP1 and overall win and the Vanquish in the GT class? Either way they're both really lovely concepts and superbly finished. Whether they'll be able to cope with carrying any speed down a typical British B-road is anyone's guess (a friend asked Andy Palmer on Twitter and he said they'd be fine)...

I am lucky enough to be part of the engineering team for one of the new cars mentioned - I can say they are without doubt being engineered to perform on an average UK B road not just the circuit.

I don’t know how I missed this Sunday Service, especially as Gaydon is only 20 mins from where I live. Appears I wasn’t the only one as it’s the first I’ve seen for a while that was under subscribed and not filling all 350 spaces.
I had a morning at Caffeine and Machine instead.
I had a very, er, quiet and respectable drive in an SVR F-Type leading up to the Revival last year and thought the damping and body control were superb. The car's weight was incredibly well disguised by its roadholding and handling, so I have no doubt the Astons will handle and ride beautifully, I just fear for their longevity after a swift run down the kind of crumbling road with hidden compressions etc. Just as Range Rovers still need to be able to go offroad, it's probably more important to make these cars useable in Knightsbridge than on a country road.

FYI there is a small museum and archive near Wallingford I went a few years ago.

Apart from the delusional, all know that cars this fast/powerful/wide/heavy are not realy even suítable for B-roads whether English or Spanish, never mind driving spiritedly.
Ofcourse it is all awesomely well designed and made, meeting dizzy specifications, meeting superlatives. It´s just way removed from sports cars (there is light/nimble/spirited in there) for the public roads.
They are súpercars. They are meant to be dream cars, ostentatious. That is quite something; why that need to pretend that they are something they are not?
Stock value hit a new low yesterday.
I was born and bred in Newport Pagnell and it wasn’t until I moved to Richmond when I was first married that I realised that Aston’s weren’t as common as I thought.
Perspective, eh?
Not a bad way to spend the day.
I notice they didn't have any of the 3 new Zagato designs on show.
A recent issue of Top Gear magazine had an article on them. A coupe, a spider and most radical of all a Shooting Brake, all of them stunning in candy apple red.
This lot are way out of my league. But the good news is the vantage 4.3 is 2005 - 2006 is falling into the classic insurance realms. Also lower road tax.
Now well within £33,000 budget. Time to sell my 1966 P1800S ?
When I saw the thread title, I thought there might be some mention of this ....
Yours for a cool £2.5 million - but it's not road legal, even at that price !
