As long as it's slab sided, it is bound to end up on SC

Funny. I got an email from Yema today about its Marine Nationale model:

It’s presented in an odd way.

More likely to be another Black Bay derivative if you look at the first watch in below

    I am more hopeful.
The English insta story suggests the blue snowflake is the "quintessential " Tudor MN. (Their choice of word).
If they were to issue something different, that is an odd phrase to use.

Yup, peak Tudor. It will be a race to the AD if they were to reproduce something as nice as that.

It definitely is and hope I’m wrong but I just can’t see them coming up with what would be a new model more likely
a slightly modified existing one. Perhaps a Steel Pelagos case with new bezel

Isn’t that just a blue 58 with square markets, can’t see them going that close to a newish current model.

Bit different. Bb58 is a black bay case. If they do a sub it would be a new case likely with drilled lugs and without slab sides. Maybe they feel the black bay orange has been squeezed enough and time to do something different again.

translated from a French website, apparently there is going to be a Marine Nationale clothing line as well

In spring 2021, it is therefore Tudor and Yema who become partners (under license) with the French Navy in the field of watchmaking.
The official launch of the French Navy's online store is scheduled for May 6.

At least that would be something.

Discontinued the North Flag and other than the LHD Pelagos haven't done much to excite. I do like the new chronos though.

If it's not a blue Pelagos in 39mm with no date and an aluminium insert then I'll be very disappointed.

I think it might just be a strap relationship with Tudor. Makes no sense for another watch release so close to the panda chrono. The double announcement with Yema also a bit odd. MN straps with Tudor watches rather than a new Tudor watch therefore ?

I think it’s along these lines.
A retail tie up between who ever owns the MN trademark (the French MOD) and Tudor. They will sell MN branded blackbays, the odd strap etc. Along with some vintage inspired clothing (and white flags ) There won’t be a new watch unless it’s a special colour scheme that is released in the future.
I think some people (including me) might be disappointed.

The little teaser on the Yema website looks likes like a Navygraf with MN crown and different bezel.

Think this is more about the clothing

Certainly reads like a watch - if sold in France then Brexit charges would apply?

    From their Facebook page

The National Marine brand embodies all of this.

She is young, like our sailors.
She is dynamic, socially and environmentally engaged and offers quality products, to put salt and spray in your daily life!

So from May 6th, you can find the entire universe of the Navy on the shop website. National Marine. Gov. fr and on social media ′′ National Marine - The Shop ′′!

Wonder if you can buy an aircraft carrier.

On their insta feed it’s all about vintage dive watches, nothing about clothing. We will have to see. Exciting

Odd this partnership wasn't announced with the new releases the other week - wonder if it'll be a way to bring the Pelagos range back onto customers radar. They're great watches but have been completely eclipsed by the Black Bay Range.

The BB58 and 94010 side by side. Obviously not blue but the differences between the two models are displayed.

To put things back into context, the french navy/marine nationale, decided to start a brand. I suppose it's a way for them to promote themselves as well as help other french businesses...

If I remember well, yema had in the past a partnership with the french air force, but nothing really ties them up with the marine nationale.

For yema, just like tudor, that's a partnership with a clothes/stuff brand in parallel of the marine nationale, not directly with the actual militry (I wish it was to issue watches to the actual forces but these times are long gone unfortunately...).

That being said, if they were to actually reissue the snowflake submariner, who cares about these petty details!

Hodonkee have coverage, it's just an announcement of the partnership. No actual products until later in the year.

Interested to see what this will be. Can't see it being a new watch release, as awesome as that would be. Smaller Pelagos, take my kidney please.

What translator did you use to get that? Google reckons there chocolate tarpaulins which is close ‘bache”

Don’t think there is a translation of the actual word ‘Bachis’ it’s the name of the caps with the pom-pom
the french navy wear i.e. like the box.
