It's not what it once was, but still an enjoyable visit and experience for any WIS. I'll miss it if it goes (my dad lives not far away, so I've been often over the years).

Cant say I'm surprised as its been on the decline for a while. Wonder if the end of it is nigh.

Isn't this old news? WatchesAndWonder has taken up the mantel now?

Had some really great days out at Basel, have missed it over the last couple of years.
Always got the impression that it was like the Peoples Front of Judea and the Judean Peoples Front with them and Geneva shows.
Hopefully we’ll be ok to get to/from Geneva in April

No offense to me.
I think this was a cry for help from Baselworld who can not accept that they have disappeared slowly but surely. Outrageous prices and agreements, poor management made The Swatch Group drop out first.
Several followed and when the pandemic came, they started by moving the fair to a time that the exhibitors did not accept. The next move was not to pay back the advance payments without a bad attempt
at parts of it. This made Rolex & PP jump off as well and then they hit the last nail in the coffin without realizing that now it's over. Baselworld will not come again, but there will probably be a total restructuring
of the whole concept. Provided W&W 2022 will happen (which everyone hopes), they are the ones that will be the Swiss watch fair in the future.
