The Sewills chrono?
The beginning of producing photo-realistic renders, like those produced for the Sewills power reserve.
Can you tell what it is yet?

Is it the Dreadnought GMT ultra slim?

Very nice indeed. I have never owned a chrono, maybe things will change now.
Could we also have one with a rotating black 1-12 bezel please?

It always starts like this, with Flatts teasing........................
F.T.F.A.
Very nice, really like the screw in pushers.
Tachymeter scale as drawn more use for checking lower average speed?
I believe it to be the Sewithista Marine Speednought Chronometer (sic), nicknamed the "Blue Balls" after the frustration it will cause
members (fnaar, fnaar) before it is offered for purchase.

Jim.
I want one. Put me on your list Eddie, you do have a list don't you? But seriously though, I do WANT one. I'm a sucker for screw-down pushers, and a lovely machined winding crown, with a tachy bezel......I could go on.
ahhh, nothing quite like screwdown pushers!!!
Im guessing its the Sewills-Montega-tona? Excited about this one - Whats the estimated elapsed time from photo-realistic renders to "for sale"?
And
Did he specify which London Olympics? We seem to have one every 50 years or so on average.
Science Fiction???
Daddel.
Got a new watch, divers watch it is, had to drown the bastard to get it!
Just about ready for the final renderings to be produced now.

Did you ever get hold of those Valjoux 72's Eddie???
Michael.
Hoo boy. I'd better start saving up as this one is a definite yes!
That's looking lovely. Just need them all to be spaced out enough!
what movement?
60 sec counter at 3O'clock with a 45 min counter as well????????

Damn. This is my favourite of everything new currently being discussed.
Can't help but think it needs "something" above the Smiths logo to balance the dial.
Credit Card is thrumming in anticipation!

I was thinking the same thing. The Daytona has the Rolex crown sitting above the makers name, but with the absence of hour markers on the dial, this Smith's interpretation looks strangely naked. Perhaps move the Smiths logo up? Or add an applied Smiths 'S' above the Smiths? Otherwise, it looks jolly nice.

Movement? Dimensions?
No idea if it's been discussed before.
2892 Dubois Depraz COSC certified movement. The size - I can't say.
What happened to the Sewills Sheffield name? Would have liked to see that on the watch

Oh yes, very nice. Personally I prefer a red outer minute track but can live with black on white. I often think that a hint of colour adds real interest to a watch face without crowding it.
I generally prefer plain watch dials but agree that in this case there does appear to be a bit of an empty space above the "Smiths" name. Either move "Smiths" up a bit (and make it slightly larger?) or add something else above or below the "Smiths".
As a matter of interest, will this watch actually be "Swiss Made", or is that just some example text for the rendering?
I had not previously caught on that this will not have a centre seconds hand. Is that correct?
Want...want...want...
As for the empty space, it needs at least 4 lines of Rolex waffle.

What do you think?
Following along to see where this goes :)
It does have a PN-esque touch to it, agreed.
I've only just realised it's now a Smiths - I speed read and thought it was still a Sewills. Smiths is much better
I'd agree with moving the logo up a bit and making it larger.
I don't know much about Trademark law, but what does Eddie actually own (is it the right to put Smiths on a watch in any chosen font, or only the one in current use)? I've been googling for images of old Smiths watches, and the Smiths Deluxe/Empire watches use a different font with a crown over. Not as well known as the one from the automotive clocks and Eddie's watches but would give the 'something' to go over the 'Smiths'. Assuming Rolex haven't banned anyone using anything crown-like in any watch related context...
This is the font I'm talking about (not suggesting this logo or a mix of the two, as I think the current suggestion is better)

Found another with a red triangle over. Anyone know the story of this?
I like it with the space. It makes it different from others and gives it a nice uncluttered look.
Pete
Never owned a " chrono" but I like this, still I think it needs the "Smiths" moved higher or have something above the words.
Have to say I like the wording used on the one watch seen in this Smiths thread, with the bigger font on the S in the front and end of the word.
Looks like alot comming up maybe?
