    Casioak - where to buy?

Does anyone know where I can pick up a ga2100?

I’m after the black with light coloured markers version. They seem to be oos everywhere unless I want to pay over the odds on eBay or the like. Which I don’t!

    Thanks in advance.

What’s the rrp? I was looking at them on eBay; seemed to be a lot on there but haven’t really researched at all, they just looked like a cool watch.

£100. There are loads on there, you’re right, most overpriced. Although having said that I can’t get hold of one, so what do I know.

If possible I’d prefer to buy from an established retailer as it’s going to be a present.

If you check sold prices, quite a few go for there or thereabouts; should be able to pick one up for under a 100 if you wait for the right one.

Just watched a vid this morning about this watch with a conversion kit to make it look like an AP was cool, didn’t even know such a thing existed

Was it the Just One More Watch video by any chance? Kit looked great, particularly the AP style one

That’s great. Did you manage to locate the specific model that the OP is looking for (with the light markers)? Asking because I’m keen too, and have not been able to find it.

I searched the for the exact model, I posted a link to the exact model, so I assume it's the one the OP is looking for.

Ah ok, thanks, that’s clear. I think the OP is looking for a GA-2100-1AER.

Thanks, but funnily enough I did try google. Your link takes me to the 1A1ER (black on black), I’m after the 1AER (white on black), which is proving much tricker to locate.

I have one arriving soon, happy to let it go for what I paid (cost) if I don’t gel with it. Suspect that will be unlikely though :)

They come up on HUKD every few weeks, for anyone looking i'd suggest setting up an alarm on there.

I am interested in one of these as they seem like a rugged, slim and light weight watch for the price with good WR.

Interested to hear how any owners find them and if they think they are worth the sub £100 cost?

I love mine. Just put it on and forget about it no matter what you're doing. And I can actually read the time at a glance rather than squinting and holding it up to my face like I had to with the 5000. Getting old is a bitch.

I like the camo version as well

    Definitely worth the £99 IMO

Exactly opposite to my view above

Sorry, deleted it as I realised after that the watch had a following and I did not want to offend those who actually love the watch, I have three of them and do not know why I purchased them, I still think they are over priced and are over hyped, I will say though to wear a watch so light is a pleasure. maybe I am over critical. I am crazy to buy three but its all part of loving watches lol

I assume if you were to use it as an analog watch it would be fine.

Yes, great as that. However it is not the sort of watch that I would travel with since changing time zones requires using the tiny display to set the hands

I never expected to use the digital display as my eyes can't take it, and admittedly it was a bit of a faff searching for the correct time zone while on holiday earlier last month. But it took me all of two minutes to set and I got on with the next two weeks happily knowing the correct time.

Agreed that the alarm is pants though – I slept through it three times and I'm not a deep sleeper.

    Yellow looks awesome!

I am enjoying mine but also find the digital fields hard to read. The lime isn't great and the light is a bit weak (it isn't back lit)

However I find myself throwing it on all the time and definitely would recommend

You are spot on with your remarks, there are a lot of negatives and exactly as you have said, not only do I find myself wearing the watch, bit I purchased another 2 of the things lol, there is just something about the watch, so light and comfy maybe, not sure. I do like the yellow one but it is not the sort of colour a guy in his sixties should be wearing, or is it lol

Its a cracking watch and very good value.

I only sold mine as I couldn't read the digital display and needed a bezel instead.

strangely if the digital display hadn't been on it I would have probably kept it,knowing it was there but being unable to read it drove me crazy.

I tried the camo version on today and although the colour wasn't for me the watch itself felt great on the wrist being very comfy and light.

So I have ordered one with the white/ grey indicates.

Out of the three I have that is the best for visibility in my opinion. You are right about weight and being comfy though

    Casioak - where to buy?

That will teach me to go on the Forum after a few pints. I have now ordered one of these with the white hands/markers, also a NATO strap converter, 22mm Zulu strap and shoulderless spring bars to create a perfect beater.
