I think anyone comparing a model 3 performance with a new M3 and thinking about anything being better handling wise rather than initial acceleration is… really not sure what the word would be to be honest. Yes, I know it was faster on a couple of tracks - what’s it like on the ring and some real world track examples instead of the top gear track?

How just many 0-100 runs can a Tesla carry out before it decides it needs to sit still and cool down?
I was very surprised how bad the panel gaps and interior was on my neighbours Tesla, but one of the consultants I know well loves his and has just bought another two for his firm!
I’ll stick to petrol for fun, and continue to commute in on electric.

Everything I'm in is down to be fair. Various funds as well as the play money in equities. Sea of red.

As a Tesla owner I do see that in 2014 they were a game changer in the large touchscreen delivers controls that could be changed.
That to me is still the fundamental difference between Tesla and say an Audi - that they can and have literally sent out new buttons/dash via updates.
If I was an eccentric millionaire who had bought an early model then I an sure I would have bought stock and been very happy about it.
Today they probably are a better tech prospect than other cars but probably not better cars for much longer- tax breaks have made their product sell, I would have to look far more carefully at running one if it wasn't a company car and I think it will be the changing tax/benefits that decide Tesla's fate as much as the improving competition.
That said it is a great commuting car and the recognition is out of all proportion so I can see how brand and share value are higher than sales would value them at.

Was the daily recall for Tesla already announced for today?
Oh, 817,143 cars in the US. Well, could be worse.

The rate of recall is incredible, I have been driving for 25 years and can only remember having a formal recall once
I was about to say it was an iPad on wheels, but an iPad is well built…

Sold Amazon short at $3,277
Crazy.

Just bought back half at $3,025. Nice.
* also closed the rest at $3,185. Was a bit surprised by the stock's strength after the initial dip, it went to $3,224 so was quite happy to be able to buy it on the way down again. No intention to remain short, this was just a punt given the hilariously wrong AH rally yesterday.

Another dumpster fire. They keep happening, given the piles of trash all over the plant. Just a question of time until people get hurt. If that was a GM or Ford plant with unions, production would have stopped long time ago.

That evening when Elon admitted in a late night tweet that FSD will likely never come....
What about the tens of thousands of twunts who have paid $10,000 a piece for this scam? That will be a lot of refunds to process...

Avacta being ridden like a Blackpool donkey again this week. Brutal.
Fascinating to watch this all play out as some of the these companies are slowly found out.
It was a crap idea even before they knew about geomagnetic storms

I finished looking around at various types of investments...they all suck in today's market (given inflation worries, rising interest rates, Russia/Ukraine, etc.).
I decided to put some money into each of the world's three largest gold mining companies. At least their trends are UP!
Am I crazy...I've never bought into gold before?
Another day, another fantasy covid-pump hammered. Synairgen’s turn this time:

Reality bites eh
That and the inability to sell at a loss are the most common reasons for financial ruin.
You wouldn't believe the amount of time I have spent talking to people trying to coach them about investments, 80% are lost cases because they cannot sell at a loss. It is painful to see how they rather ruin the fruit of a lifetime of working than cut a loss and move on.
Mind-blowing doesn't get close.

Wowserz. Had regrets cutting that one last summer, but with these one product biotechs.. a bad readout literally kills the whole thesis.

I’ve come to the conclusion these stock chat rooms are pure and utter poison for those that don’t know what they’re doing. Genuinely dangerous places, especially if you’re susceptible to being misled
Echo chambers, all of them. We regularly get our fill from the Argo chat room in this thread.
If you want the real crazies, you have to go to AMC/GME: Synthetic shares, illegal shorting, short ladder attacks, digital popcorn. I sometimes listen to a Twitter Space about it, crazy or deluded are the only words that come to mind.
And then there is reddit...

JD Sports battered as is seemingly everything clearly ‘war’ will stop teens buying trainers and hit lycra sales…
Hey ho could be worse poor buggers in Ukraine must be horrendous hearing bombs dropping lets hope common sense and humanity prevails but somehow i think not Vlad is on a personal mission ‘world be dammed’ …. Blofeld is real.
Cutting some of my Tesla short, buying some S&P futures, pruning my GOLD and NG positions.
Not sure about medium term, but market looks a bit stretched to the downside for the moment.
