James Dowling has a homage to the Longines HS for what I think it is not bad money.

I was saddened when the museum had to close doors so shortly after the installation, so it is very pleasing to see this available in virtual form along with Roger's enthusiastic commentary. I really hope that it is able to reopen in ten days or so, and that as many people as possible are able to visit in person. The museum's social distancing controls are very stringent.

Re George Sutton's Smiths A404: my daughter is part of the team at Oxford University that has developed a covid vaccine. She did her vital work while wearing Smiths watches: a 1954 A404 and a Time Factors "Everest Expedition" PRS-25. Good to know Smiths is still playing its part and is present at historic British achievements. It might not be the conquest of the highest mountain in the world or the traversing of Antarctica but it is something akin to those endeavours in terms of teamwork, long hours, publicity and national pride.

Kudos and thanks to your daughter Oliver, the apple hasn’t fallen far from the tree it seems :).

I really enjoyed your Smiths Webinar by the way.

    Thanks!

Done at short notice so not brilliant but it gets the main points across and avoids being too technical
