New from Damasko - facelifted models DC 76/2 & DC 86/2

I thought this might be of interest given the number of Damasko fans on here:

Essentially, a refresh of some existing models with new, more conventionally styled dials and a cleaner bezel on the 86/2. Personally, I prefer the aesthetic of the original and feel that whilst these might appeal to a wider audience, I feel the brand is losing it's identity a bit and the 86/2 reminds me of recent Tag Heuer watches. The additional dial text to me, looks like gibberish and is odd.

The watches are nonetheless quite attractive, if not as pure and functional as the original variants.

PS issues with poor customer service continue to appear on the Watchuseek Damasko forum and with recently manufactured watches - I'd recommend having a look on there, as the situation doesn't seem to have improved since I had mine. I won't be buying another, but I know that for some, the reasonable asking price offsets potential issues.

There's a definite appeal, particularly since the Sinn EZM 10 was discontinued.

I'd seen this announced the other day. These models appear to be additions to the range rather than replacements, I'm happy to see. I, like you prefer the original 86. I'm wearing my orange on the bracelet at the moment. Incidentally, was it you that bought a white 86 on a bracelet and returned it to CW Sellors?

No, mine was a DC 56 Si, though it came from the same retailer.

Certainly remind me of the recent Heuer reissues. Good looking mind you.

Ah, OK. I only asked as I spent some time in Leeds yesterday and saw a white 86 on a bracelet. Knowing how rare it is to see stock, I thought it may have been a pre-owned watch that had been rectified. Pleased to say I've had zero problems with mine.
