I really like the porter. I found the black ipa and the Hop bomb a bit 'meh', nothing wrong with them but not special either.
How do people find the Hawkshead red, the bitter and the lakeland gold or should i just get two cases of the porter?

I went for 2 cases of Stout and one of the Porter.
Unfortunately I cant report back on the taste yet, as mine don't arrive until later today - and I am on a 'no beer midweek' rule!
I think I've had a bottle of the stout before and it's OK. I think you'd have been better off with 2 porters and one stout.

Well I ordered:
- a case of the 1861 White Beer - not touched
- a case of mixed Crabbies - virtually demolished by wife and daughter
- a case of Lakeland Gold - smashed by DPD with a replacementon its way to me
Further 11 cases ordered
I am off to sample another of my stouts now, despite having a rather lazy lunch in a sun-soaked beer garden.
It was the first time I have been to the pub for over 2 years and it has been a long time coming!

I bought it all. Well, two more cases last week. I tried the lakeland gold too, not bad, again slightly underwhelming but a good beer given the price.
I am getting on pretty well with the stout, but the porter was a nice change to mix it up a bit.
Trying to make this lot last a bit longer....
