A blancpain 50 fathoms.
Paid for. Bunking off work tomorrow for half day (using up some annual leave), going to a dealership to pick up something rather special. Steve knows what it is so he can't guess but - what do others think? List price is less than £11K so its not super expensive. Quite special and not seen too much of in this parish. This has lead to my rash of posts on SC - where you can grab a bargain or two!
Only twelve hours before I see it in the flesh.
Night Night.

Rolex gmt steel and gold root beer would be my guess

I recently had a little more than that available to spend and though of a 50 fathoms.....ended up with a new bathroom, shower room and daughters bedroom redecorated !
Looking forward to the big reveal!

lovely. It's all opinion of course but to me this trumps the Pepsi and that takes some doing.
very very nice .....and with stickers ...very rare
enjoy
Looks good. This and the other TT GMT-IIC are the only two-tone watches I would consider getting.
Interesting! Could be my phone screen, but the gold looks quite subdued. Is it not your 'in your face' yellow gold of old? Is it a more rose gold?
Not for me I'm afraid. The rose gold certainly looks better than most TT's as it's far more subtle but I always think, Arab, Gangster, Poker player or Del boy when I see one......
It’s a stunning watch, congrats :-)
Very nice, think I tried one at a Rolex event late last year and of everything that was there this was the one I would have brought home, loved it! Enjoy.
Rolex do rose gold very well, enjoy your new peice.
Tony
Absolutely gorgeous combination of the bezel colour and rose gold case, congratulations.
Can I ask what the waiting time is for one of these please? - apologies if this has already been asked.
'List price is less than £11K so its not super expensive'
Love it....lucky man :-)
Lovely watch, congratulations on your purchase.
Not super rich myself - I'm having to sacrifice 2 or 3 pieces in my little collection to fund this one piece - what starts in the collection stays in the collection. I think this is a case of 'less is more'. Comments about 'just' £11K were in jest and in the spirit of the forum!
To answer a few questions -
- not much 'heft' difference to a steel version - but rests very easy on the wrist - not sure if it is an illusion but seems to hug the wrist very well - maybe slightly re-designed lugs from the x1xxx versions?
- wait time - not sure as I had a top off from a forum member and jumped at the chance! The AD said this was the first one through the door but I think Hayward did mention supply may be getting better
- stickers - I may do a Youtube streaming session by invitation only - pay per view and all proceeds go to Eddies fund - kinda a watch stripper channel - who would pay a £5 to watch me take the stickers off for a good cause?
Oh - more pics?
There you go!

Congrats, Martyn! It is a lovely watch. A minor point though: Rolesor is their term for anything two tone, but the actual gold they use on the CHNR is Everose. But you already knew that!
I’d love to see those colours on a jubilee. Looks very nice on the oyster too mind you :)
It's just a matter of time...
Stunning watch, probably my favourite in the current Rolex lineup. Congrats.

Looks great. The dark horse of the 2018 releases I would suggest!
That is a belter, my favourite of the 2018 Rollys
Stunning! Congrats. Can we see some more pics, please? :)
I'm so jealous! I'm still waiting for mine. Was meant to be in time for Xmas but my AD hasn't had any delivery of the root beer since Nov.
Looking at yours just makes me so anxious.
Enjoy the best release of Rolex 2018... Sorry pepsi fanboys, the 3 colour of the pepsi just didn't do anything for me. Black dial with blue and red bezel just doesn't work in my eyes... I've got my flamesuit on!
Very very nice. I want to see one in the flesh. I'd sooner have this than spend double rrp on a blnr or pepsi!
Congrats, I quite like the tones on these. They stuck the cyclops on wonky though!
