Alternative strap for IWC Top Gun?

Hi all

Just got a Top Gun (389101 https://www.iwc.com/gb/en/watch-coll...h-top-gun.html) and i really dont love the strap.

It was the same with my Omega DSOTM i changed out the cordura for the alligator from the sedna gold version. Has anyone tried something different on the top gun?

I do really like the quality of the IWC straps, and have purchased a number of the leather ones which work brilliantly.

Always wondered about a rubber strap of sorts too.

I had a 3717 on a similar IWC strap and changed it for a Big Pilot style leather strap, which I much preferred.

They do also get better and better with age. Take a fair bit of running in but really durable and long lasting

Try a nice NATO with a slash of color, ie red.

Also worth going onto watch gecko for decent straps. Also they have a pretty decent sale every now and then.

Maybe a buffalo leather type strap in black? Something matte and course in texture to contrast the smooth case. Thinking di-moddel or similar. Would need to be chunky I would have thought.

I’ve made this suggestion a couple of times for IWC alternatives as I’ve bought a few for my 3717. Search for the Timepiece Republic shop on eBay. They have a vast selection of options

have bought a 21mm oem alligator strap to see how that goes, also liking the rubber b swinskin ballistic strap
