    iOS 14, iPadOS 14 and WatchOS 7

Apple are updating their 3 mobile operating systems later today. I’m really looking forward to widgets on the iPhone home screen.

Lots of app makers recommending that we do not install it yet. Apparently very buggy and many apps not working on 14 yet.

I usually wait a month or so before installing a major update and certainly will wait this time.

Why did Tim Cook feel the need to rush it out if so many aren’t ready for it?

We've found the "Skype for Business" app has all it's button graphics missing when you make calls (reported in beta 4 but not fixed yet), but otherwise no other major issues so far.

Thank you for the ETA :)

I have always found Skype for Business a bit... meh, even on a PC

It may have improved over the last semester :D

I have been using 14 for a few days now as i'm in the beta program and I have had no problems at all and a couple of little features I have found to be good.

Nice that you can have a GMT watch face, with a Pepsi bezel too!

We have been told not to install it on our BYOD iPhones and iPads, due to incompatibility with our security apps which results in not being able to access work email, o365, teams etc

I’ve updated my iPad Pro and iPhone X with no issues so far. After updating an app which has widget support, you have to run the app before it appears in the list of available widgets. I’ve also noticed that apps are asking for permission to access hardware on networks. Any extra layer of device security is always appreciated. It's also possible to use the pencil to write text. That's how I've written the last 2 sentences. The recognition really is good.

I seem to have a problem with editing My Card, in contacts: the numbers I remove come back, and the little map on the right for the address does not appear

iPad Air 3 and iPhone XR updated with no problems noted so far.

Only annoying thing is I can’t edit the App drawer on the iPhone. I would prefer to have the simple A-Z list as default. Or at least be able to consolidate apps into fewer folders, like I would on my Home Screen in prior iOS.

If you don't like the Widgets, App drawer etc can you just have a screen full of folders and a folder with oft used apps in the tray at the bottom of the home screen as I do now?

I could return my Home Screen to what it was, with rarely used apps in a folder. But this would simply duplicate what’s in the App Library, which can’t be edited or deactivated. The App Library seems uncharacteristically cluttered and messy for Apple.

If you swipe down on the App Library you see an alphabetical list of apps. Personally I launch my hidden apps by swiping down on the Home Screen to open search.

I’m struggling to see any benefits of the ‘stack’ widget.

I do like how you can pin nine contacts in the message app, only a little thing but I like it :)

Ok I have a task for the IOS boffins on these forums this is a conundrum that's driving Me nuts its regarding the surf app,
Dawn Patrol i have downloaded it to My iPhone and Apple Watch 5 and it should display tide conditions for Your local surf spot for example My closest are Ilfracombe and Westward Ho this tide info for the day meaning high and low tide times in a graphical form fail to load on the Today widget yet on My Wife's and Son's iPhones they work perfectly!
We all are sharing the same WiFi network and We all 3 have iPhones updated to latest software I am using an iPhone XR My Wife's is a iPhone 7 and Son's is a iPhone 11 I have ensured all permissions, location services, compass calibration are enabled but nothing is making it work its really frustrating I will donate £20 to Eddie's fundraiser if someone can come up with a solution.
