    Ordering on 27 October

As some of youi will have discovered, ordering was only open for 10 minutes today. 160 orders received and they will take 2 weeks to ship (working through weekends).

I do know that more orders were accepted for the Expedition than I have stock. This happens when customers have an item in the shopping basket but haven't yet completed the order, the shopping cart doesn't adjust stock levels until the order has been completed but will allow you to complete the order when you have an item in the basket.

It looks like I have orders for 18 more than I have stock.

Having received the Expedition last week all I can say is 'it's worth the wait'.

Well finger’s crossed that I get my order. I actually bought on a bit of a whim. Since it was announced I was thinking the Everest white face one to buy and at the very last minute decided the Expedition was just more attractive as an overall design...

I ordered the black dial Everest. I was sitting (shivering) in the garden with some guests when I remembered the store was open. I told my wife, "off to check the food." I thing I ordered at 8 minutes past. Looking forward to the watch.

My order just arrived ! Good stuff Eddie - thanks !

In horology, amongst other things in life, you just can't beat a good threesome :-)

The new rivet strap clasp does indeed have the matching logo for the black dial !

Must say the Everest Expedition is a stunner ... and to think that all three of these Everests could be had for a fifth of the price of a Rolex Explorer, without losing much if anything in the comparison stakes ... simply TERRIFIC value.

And just like Rolex,if you put the Expedition on eBay now that it's sold out, you'd probably make a profit :-)

Haha - I probably should have bought two in that case. Can't sell this one ... can't even bring myself to sell my crappy Swatches from my previous "non-watch" life :-)

Are we meant to receive any kind of confirmation on orders from TF?

I had an email from Eddie yesterday at 15:05 advising that my order had been dispatched, and it arrived via Royal Mail just before mid day today.

<<EDIT: My Sagepay order confirmation was timed at 14:02 on Sunday btw .... >>

My order time was 1403 so I am hoping to get a shipment confirmation today. Hope you enjoy yours. I tried ordering on the 6th when the old version was still available but some problems with my payment and I had to go so didn't get my order in until the 27th but got the new version with rivet bracelet so I am pleased that I had to wait.

Oh dear. 2.04pm - I naively thought I’d be early in the queue! It’s good though that Mr P paces himself. What a pain, having to post to all us obsessively anxious and impatient buyers!

I can understand it but seriously, I could ship an extra 2 watches a day if I didn't have to respond to e-mails and phone calls asking "where's my watch?".

Some of us understand the concept of a 'one man band' and base our expectations accordingly. Keep up the good work

Mine arrived today, Everest black dial. Beautiful watch, I'm really impressed. I don't seem to have the right size screwdrivers fo rteh bracelet so off down to a jeweler after the rugby. I was also impressed with the watch case, but not as impressed as my 9 year old who has "borrowed" it for his two watches.

I ordered the same one and mine is at my local UPS hub for delivery Monday the 4th of November, am very excited. How is the new Miyota 9039 movement in yours working. I have heard people say they are noisy due to the unidirectional rotor but then I have heard others say it is not an issue with them. Guess I will just have to wait to get mine to see.

I read a lot of forum post and reviews. I was worried (in a very small way) about the movement noise, the handset dimensions, and the riveted bracelet. Like most things on the internet, the issue is somewhat exaggerated and hyperbole tents to rule.

I tried to listen for the rotor noise but can't really hear it. Yes it is there, but you need the watch pretty close to your ear to pick it up, or maybe better hearing than mine, although my wife claims mine is bat-like.
It may be my old eyes. but the hands look great to me. Yes, one mm difference on both hands would move towards the ideal, but on my wrist looks lovely.
The rivets are barely noticeable in actual wear. If you like rivets, you'll like them, if you don't you can easily ignore them. For me, the bracelets tapers nicely and is comfortable to wear.
    Lume is great
    Weight is great.

TLDR, lovely watch, I think you'll enjoy it.
