Just found same watch on E Bay so I could replace the bezel that I lost within a week of wearing.
Need a new clasp now for the strap.

Stegeorgy that's a lovely watch, and great that you've had it since your youth. Amongst Timex enthusiasts, that quite a sought after watch. Is that the original bracelet?

Yes the bracelet is original. The clasp no longer shuts and keeps closed however.

Cheers, does look well on the U1 - Meyhoffer 'Oldenburg' in black - various other colour-combos exist. Leather core, textile upper, waterproof.
It is quite thick and stiff, but will no doubt soften with wear.
