It doesn't look they were an AD for Rolex or Omega etc so I wonder if it was knock-off Michael Kors.

Is it Yarm high street, if so been in the shop numerous times when passing over the years and they’ve had some nice 2nd hand pieces in occasionally

See on their website that any orders placed after 3rd may may be subject to shipping delays, probably because
all their stock has been seized by trading standards.

No, I suspect that might be Whittakers you are referring to?

I'm wondering whether they were 'back dooring' high end copies. As you say they don't seem to be acting as an AD for any particularly known 'copy' brands, everything they have listed on their website is typical high street jeweller fodder so may be they were selling the copies through word of mouth as opposed to through the shop itself? Not much detail in the news about it.

that shouldn't happen, mums can't be held responsible for what their adult sons get up to.

This is what I immediately thought was happening.

I know! Is it where Bramwells used to be? How long has it actually been there?

No it's not Bramwells old shop as it's two or three doors up towards Skinnergate. They sell a lot of those Swatch watches too.
The Silver shop is still owned by Bramwells.
