Replaced the wifes diesel golf with a BMW M140, just the right amount of power for the school run and driving to the shops :) Its very happy to wag in this cold weather and spins up in 3rd gear...great fun.

Waiting to pick this one up is very hard as I am very impatient!

not very popular on here but I think it's amazing, saying goodbye to the e350coupe parked next to it, it's been a good car

It depends how you feel about 4wd or fwd? I have a feeling a 4wd version of the FK8 will be coming out pretty soon (perhaps at the same time as new focus RS)

2.o litre in Sport Nav trim. I'm half wondering about upping it to the BBR GTI Super 200 tuning package, but I'll see how it goes in standard spec first, it certainly felt pretty nippy on the test drive.

11 months into ownership of our 1500 roadster Sport Nav , absolutely loving it . We have done part of the Irish Wild Atlantic Way and drove it to Spain and the Alpes in the summer to watch the TDF. A brilliant car on so many levels........except Snow and Ice where it is awful. And yes it is a soft top uner all that colour coordinated snow!

Couldn't resist this, as I seem to have an addiction to Merc's.
This one is an SL63 AMG & so far very pleased with it.

I worked for a good few years inspecting lifting equipment and spent quite a lot of the time talking to some elderly clients (stairlifts etc) as for some of them I was the only person they saw from month to month

Anyway....one thing that stuck with me was some advice I was told many many times, looking back on my life I only regret the things I didn't do and never the things that I did

I tend to use that story to justify no end of hairbrain decisions ever since

Of course the nippers just say YOLO

I would say a merc C Class Coupe.

I am in a Merc GLC43 AMG. Far more practical than the C Coupe 43 I had 12 months ago.

Thanks for this, Friday (tomorrow) is collection day, I cannot wait and your post has whetted my appetite for a massive road trip too.

Loving the Civic Type R posts on here too, I had a new EP3 in 2002 and loved it, I need to try the latest version.

Current daily is a Golf GTD lease with a Volvo S90 lease on order which is delivered next month. Previous to that I have had a C7 RS6, a ‘09 GTR, an R34 GTR, R33 GTR, 996 Turbo, E93 M3, E46 M3, E60 M5 and so on, I like my fast cars but having a son in 2017 the daily sports cars are going.
Still have an R33 GTR as a project car that’s going for a full strip down rebuild in the Spring

Talking of the forum’s favourite soft top, this one announced today looks nice - 30th Anniversary.

24 hours into my new MX5 and I’m besotted, it is utterly sublime, so little inertia, tactile, telepathic in its responses, immediate in responses and steering inputs, just wonderful. If you even half fancy one give it a try, you’ll not be disappointed.

That colour is beautiful, reminds me of my old MG Midget 1500 from a very long time ago. Love it. Enjoy your new car.

I've been offered an X3 M40i as a replacement for my 540i MSport Touring which is proving just too big for me.
Has anyone tried or bought the new 2019 X3 M40i and could give me some feedback ?

    What do you drive?

    Bye bye XF today...

    Best all-rounder I’ve owned.
Fantastic cruiser - the ride is much better than the Audi & BMWs I’ve had before - and it’s (surprisingly) good in the twisty stuff.

    Hello PHEV...

Not sure this will be quite so good in the twisty stuff.

Picked this up at the beginning of the week after a short search for one. So hard to buy as they’re getting cheap now, so the majority of them appear to be owned by messers or idiots, including the in Barnsley who agreed a deal with me, then reneged and sold it to someone else for an extra £100, leaving me a couple of hundred out of pocket for a cheap train fare and a missed day at work (bloody freelance).

It’s a phase 2 Renaultsport Clio 172, with 100k on the clock and a brand spanking MOT, although that’s not to say it’s not riddled with problems - they’re mostly minor and it deserves a mini resto before it gets a track hammering.

Lovely. I've had 6 (or 7) RS of that generation. Got a hankering for another.

Those wheels look good, but they're bloody heavy!

    This was probably my favorite.
