Of course do UFOs exist. UFO = unknown flying object, i.e. we saw something but have no clue what it was. The existence of alien visitors on the other hand is a less evidenced matter...
So I’ve watched a couple of interesting documentaries regards UFOs
Not just the freak geek types, American pilots, military etc
Is anybody into that sort of thing? Or willing to admit it?
I love to see the spoofs debugged, but clearly, some are unexplained

Wrong thread. Should he on this:

This is quite interesting:

Unexplained UFOs (i.e. not comets, satellites, etc.) are typically classified military aircraft
I must admit I like reading the reports and seeing the explanations which explain the majority of sightings.
Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.
Me and a few mates saw one about 35 yrs ago
Honestly we all saw it. A disk shape object in the sky silent about 500m up. It just smoothly flew off
Whenever we see each other to this day we all agree on it. Spooky
And John. It was near the woodlands park
If you go down the rabbit hole researching this stuff its pretty evident there’s military craft we know nothing about.
U2, SR-71 and F-117 were flying for years before any sniff of their existence became public, and that was 30-60 years ago. Imagine what’s zipping around now...
I don’t think with the internet and sharing of information we have today that new military aircraft will go so unnoticed and undiscussed nowadays.
Im all in agreement for progressive government or military tech being the most logical of theories. It's the other reports of things moving at incredible speeds, manoeuvrability, feats of propulsion not consistent with even remotely what we are familiar with. Then again how far ahead is the weapons or craft division within the military? Decades ?

My Son pointed me to this video he was fascinated - I am sceptical make your own mind up.
Here’s a couple links to military/UFO threads if anyone’s interested, not your typical foil hat brigade either

Thing is it’s hard for the human race to get its head around the thought of other life forms visiting us because we are so un-advanced with technology, let’s face it we are still using fossil fuels to move our machines, if we had a way of closing light years of space instantly then it becomes believable that other life forms can do the same, hence more people believing ET life.
It’s a similar scenario when we thought the earth was square, or a total eclipse was a sun god giving us a message..

I believe aliens exist, they universe is so vast that other life will be out there. I don't think they come to earth and take people tho.
Considering the minute speck of dust we inhabit within the known universe it’s pretty arrogant to think we’re the only ones out there.
Thanks for posting that. I have described on here before that I saw a UFO in 1997, hundreds of people saw it at the same time. It was a fast mover and look exactly like these images. It moved at incredible speed and then stopped, and went from one side of the sky to the other in a split second.
Not so sure about that one. The first thing he says is these guys were out filming a B roll, that's movie talk for shooting scenery and other things that you edit into a film. So these guys are film people and it's very easy to fake that with professional equipment. In fact that video could probably be faked with an iPhone app.
And here in lies the problem. We are at a stage where most of modern society has a HD video camera in their pocket and we should see lots of videos of sightings compared to the 40's - 50's etc. But software for faking them is also in those HD cameras making them just as untrustworthy as the old blurry photos.
So as good as some footage is and as much as I want to believe they are real I just think they are faked.
I do believe "they" are out there, and have been here. I'm a lot more convinced by the ancient alien theories and believe 4000 or 5000 year old drawings and sculptures over modern "untouched" video.
Maybe, but they can't break the laws of physics. A drone or whatever moving faster than the speed of sound will create a sonic boom. Nobody misses those. It's a physical bang that shakes your house windows.
Again, given the number of cameras there are now, everywhere, keeping a secret military aircraft secret, and fly it, is hardly possible. Somebody is always watching.
I don't think aliens will visit us "formally" until we have made a few more breakthroughs.
I think we are yet to discover that faster than light speed travel is entirely possible and that there is some kind of communication network that's universal and is also yet to be discovered.
At that point, I think we will realise that the universe is teaming with intelligent life and we are currently little baby earthlings who still fight wars over our chosen deities.
^
Here's a point.
The Milky Way is 13.7bn years old. It's one of the universe's original galaxies. Our civilised society has occupied a nano-fraction of that amount of time. 50-60 years. 1 million years ago we weren't even fully human. The point being that there may indeed be thousands of civilised planets out there, but in our time frame, now, today? The chances are tiny to infinitesimal.
Apparent sightings in the main since WWII (leaving out Von Daniken) which is when military flight technology came on leaps and bounds so I'm sure what most are seeing are futuristic aircraft.
That said, if aliens have been visiting us for donkey's years, to what end?
Surely they've probed enough human backsides by now?
Cheers,
Neil.
The end game is pretty obvious to anyone
Alien 1 : I know, let's use our super advanced techonology to go and visit that blue planet third from the star - they call it earth ! I've heard them in their transmissions
Alien 2 : Why shoud we visit there ? what would we do when we get there ?
Alien 1 : Duh ! We are going to make symmetrical patterns in farmers fields - then piss off before they discover us.
Alien 2 : Good shit man, that will really mess with their heads
The most intriguing image I’ve seen is below, posted elsewhere by a supposed ‘insider’. Save and zoom...
Allegedly taken up at Dounreay when it was operational. The US was using a nearby ex-RAF facility for ‘testing’, nobody nearby and immediate access to the North Atlantic play area...
The thing with digitally manipulated images is that they leave countless telltales in the image.
Even if you know what they are and their causes and create the work to minimise them its still pretty easy for a specialist to pick it apart and identify it as being manipulated pretty quickly.
Ironically footage shot on film cameras thats been elaborately setup with physical objects instead of images is tougher to explain away as those digital telltales will be missing. However the limitations of creating images that way usually means the staging of the footage is less convincing.
Often real footage is erroniously explained as being UFOs when its faitly mundane events being misrepresented with second hand explanaitions.
Many of the big UFO events are exactly this.
You rarely get the same phenomena recorded by multiple people from varying angles despite hindreds of people supposedly reported as seeing it. The ones that are tend to be revealled as rocket launches or chinese lanterns or unusual cloud formations.
The one that cropped up a few years ago from gun cameras in american fighters looks suspiciously like some sort of imaging malfunction rather than a real object in front of the camera. The fact its referred to officially as a UFO doesn’t mean its anything extraterrestrial.
I think if the Earth was visited by extraterrestrials sufficiently advanced enough to travel here they would either happily announce their presence or not reveal themselves until they wanted to.
The question of why they would go to all that effort to visit and not immediately make contact at the earliest opportunity ( a hundred years out say) doesn’t make sense.
I'd love to see one. Those crop circles, they're wild, just beautiful man. Flying saucers? Hell yes, bring 'em on!
I watch these progs Infact I watched one yesterday. My issue nowadays rather than all the old repeats of UFO sightings is,nearly every Man Woman and child has a mobile phone in there pocket, most welded to their hand!.So why is it we don't have loads of up to date high res pics and or video of anything flying around our skies?,the other issue re any pics or vid taken recently are always blurry, yet the same People seem to have no problem taking any other pics or video and remain crystal clear!!.
Also most militaries these days happily publicize their latest developments as PR and political muscle flexing.
The contractors are usually champing at the bit to be allowed to sell the same tech to their allies.
If you have a better plane or gun its usually more important to let your enemies know you have the capability.
Satellite technology ( especially the ability to launch them fast) takes care of the need for most SR71 type black projects . There no longer exists the global war footing situation that requires these developments to be kept classified.
Its actually better politics and business to co opt your enemies into collaborating on the tech and monetise it. Its usually better than using it.
Why no pics nowadays with all the phone cameras?.. cloaking devices activated!
There may well be aliens and UFOs but we would never see them as they simply too far away to ever travel to planet Earth.
The aliens are here to do a post Brexit trade deal.
Well, nothing can break the laws of physics. Not even an alien spacecraft... They're the laws of physics...
As for keeping military aircraft secret, ld agree it would be impossible - they'd be ufo sightings and people of a certain mindset would immediately decide they were from outer space - rather than selecting a more likely explanation...
Firstly the universe is so vast that although other civilisations almost certainly exist they are likely to be unimaginably far away, the chances of them being anywhere near us is miniscule.
Secondly the life of the universe is so long and the lifespan of any civilisation (including ours) likely to be infinitesimally small in comparison that the chances of them and us intersecting in time is also tiny.
Both those hugely long shots would need to come through for us to have any chance of interacting with intelligent aliens.
It’s not going to happen.
Well yes and no, yes the many other civilisations increase the probability and of course we are only affected by our own timeline but the timelines of one or more other civilisations need to intersect with ours, so their (presumed) short existence is relevant.
However, the chances of there being “billions” of spacefaring civilisations is I think not large.
