Thread: THANK YOU! Raffle for Cancer Research & Gold Geese, Speedbird 3, Seiko, Citizen, Gs

  1. #51
    I have made a donation.
A really lovely thing to do, thank you. And a very special young man.
If you do this again I'd be very happy to add a raffle prize.
Thank you again, this is, I think, important.
    All the best.

I've donated £20, plus the extra £5 in Gift Aid, to Cancer Research UK's under 25 campaign (although I didn't read the instructions to give via the Just Giving page, hopefully that's not a problem).

On top of that, I've contributed £10 to Golden Geese.

Sneaking in 3 entries from me. Having bought a new watch that I didn't need/deserve this week it's only right I put something in the pot.

Good work on yet another fantastic cause Mr Smith, you really are a diamond geezer - love to the family.

  5. #55
Mr Curta, please add another mystery consolation prize into the mix. Good enough for Dustin Hoffman good enough for any TZUKer
After the draw, let me know the lucky winner's details and i will arrange postage.

threescoops and FK77 have both voluntarily donated directly to Cancer Research UK Kids & Teens so of course I'm adding them to the list. It makes it easier for me to keep track if the JustGiving pages are used but I massively appreciate the support and donations however they are made.

I sent Lorraine a message earlier about the level of support that this has received from the community here. She's sent me this reply:

Hi Matthew, that’s fantastic news! Many thanks for supporting Gold Geese and also for your continued support in sharing and subscribing to Finn’s channel. You really did make a difference to Finn’s last few weeks and brought a smile to his face and I will always be grateful to you and cherish those moments xx

    Brilliant stuff, everybody.

I'll close the raffle for entries at 6pm UK time so there's still time for a last minute entry or two!

I'll be travelling for the next few hours so will make any final updates when I arrive and Laura will make the draw shortly afterwards, supervised by Alison.

Laura will draw the winning tickets in reverse order to the prize list below.

The first tickets out will be for the consolation prizes, with the eighth and final ticket being for the PRS-22.

    The Prizes

    1. Speedbird III PRS-22
    2. Seiko Bell-Matic donated by JohnnyE
    3. Citizen Automatic Diver donated by subchris
    4. Casio G-Shock G-2000-1 donated by subchris
    5. Casio G-Shock DW-5750E-1ER donated by JackW

What a lovely boost to find on arrival at my destination! Three quarters of an hour until close.

I'll have a quick spot of lunch whilst the girls have their tea and then we'll finalise the list.

    Thanks again to all,

    Matthew and Family

    ...and closed! Absolutely magnificent total.

It will probably be an hour fifteen minutes or so before all of the tickets are folded and well mixed and Laura makes the draw. I'll update as soon as they are in touch.

    Wow, I never win anything

But as the French soldier replied to King Arthur's request to join the search for the Holy Grail.

    He's already got one!

Hope you don't smell of Elderberries.

Please pull out another ticket and let someone else enjoy one of Eddie's finest

Congrats to everyone - Preacher can you PM me your name and address so I can pop your prize in the post (it might be small and well-formed but I think it is slightly too big to drop through your letter box- will someone be in to accept package?). Hope you enjoy something other than watch related stuff

The total amount raised for GG and CRUKK&T including a couple of direct donations to CR is a slightly staggering £1145.

Heh. Happy actually to have won the G2000, comes with great karma. And even happier when some such raffle generates a healthy amount of money, showing that the forum spirit is alive and kicking.

    220. Thomps68 - Citizen Automatic Diver donated by subchris

Yes, but then they wouldn't be a mystery would they?

I don't actually know exactly what two of them are myself, although I believe that Suds offer is car related and to do with his username...

Mine is a watch strap of choice direct from Steveo.
