Luckily I managed again to get what I was after. Although not a Jubilee this time obviously. For whatever reason it seems to be working for me.
That's me done for now though I think so happy to try again next time and see if i can grab one for another forum member.

After trying and failing three times in a row, I didn't bother this time around. I've never had so much trouble getting my order placed within time (UK based).

Although not a Jubilee I did get lucky this time and scored a plexi Commando without too much trouble, I have been after one of these for sometime so on my ninth or tenth attempt I finally got it.

Surprisingly stress free compared to my previous unsuccessful attempts, looks like nobody was after a plexi Commando this time around....

Strange. It was showing as Sold Out when I looked half an hour before the store opened.

Yes can’t trust any of these sellers. Even Eddie has pointed out for a seller from the states that he had only purchased three watches total but it was showing up as though he had sold many more than three of Eddie’s pieces. So clearly it’s them just trying to jack up the price.

Took the Silver Jubilee for a dip.

I really like the look of the SJ on rubber. I asked Ralphy about details of the strap and butterfly clasp and he kindly advised that the strap had edelstahl (which translates as stainless steel) but I can't find anything that looks similar to this (with apologies to Ralphy for using his photo).

Can anyone suggest where I might look, I really do want the butterfly clasp and not the usual pin and buckle arrangement.

    Thanks.

I thought Hirsch used to do a rubber strap that looked like that, but on some casual googling I can't see one. Possibly more in-depth searching might find it?

I don't think the Hirsch Pure caoutchouc comes with curved ends. Apart from that it is very good rubber.

Again out of luck .... clicked the link, got a pop-up window reading:

It seems to be quite an elusive curved strap/butterfly clasp combo going on here.

Not much sparkle at shallower depths and none deeper (took it down to about 50m).

I finally got my Silver Jubilee today. I didn't post that I'd been successful at the shop because I didn't want to tempt fate.

It arrived today and I've already sized the bracelet and got it on my wrist.
It feels small compared to the Dreadnought Polar I was wearing this morning but very much like my Rolex Datejust which is also on a Jubilee bracelet and which I love.
For my little wrist I've taken out 6 links, which were a dream to remove because of the screw-in pins.

I'm looking forward to wearing this.

I know what you mean. I was successful after about 6 or 7 attempts, but it wasn’t a Jubilee, it was one of the other watches. I haven’t heard anything yet, so I assume Eddie dispatches across the whole two weeks before the shop opens up again. I’ve seen a couple of comments from people who bought last Sunday and have had theirs. I must be at the back of the queue.

I am super excited. Mine arrived last week. The Jubilee bracelet looks very solid. This is a great kind of an upgrade. And that dial, wow!

Some may have seen that I need to replace a tyre, however the girlfriend does have some stored brownie points. She secured this for me last weekend. Again, the bank declined my card payment as fraud, but we both tried and she was successful.

We've got the watch as a birth year watch for my son, who is due 8th May. The limited edition number is 84, shame it couldn't have been 85 as they could have tied in nicely with the due date.

Anyway, I did not expect to like this watch as much as I do. The dial just sparkles and is very difficult to capture. The size is also refreshingly small.

A quick pic before I've resized the bracelet...

Go on, try your luck. There can't be many better things that you could do with a tenner at the moment.

Has to be worth a punt and is in a good cause.

And if you miss out on the Jubilee you might win a perfect summer watch, which looks pretty good in March as well.
