TimeFactors RAF colours NATO strap but with black DLC fittings !

I am a huge fan of this NATO from Eddie - the original strap had brushed steel fittings in very nice quality (as the rest of the strap). However as my watch is black DLC, I found a set of black DLC fittings on the bay and with the application of a little homework, I managed to mount them on the strap. Not the same quality as the original fittings, but I am fairly pleased - never the less hoping Eddie might "see the (dark) light" some day ! ;-)

I did have to use a set of pliers but only applied them to the part of the fittings that are hidden inside the strap.

Amazingly the DLC coating did not crack when bending the fittings. I half expected this to go wrong so I do have a spare NATO that I could revert to

The fittings were a cheap set from Singapore (Cozy SG) but I was geniunely impressed with the quality for the price !
