It was alright but first one much, much better. Not worth cinema money.

I also watched Baby Driver the other week.

I heard it good reviews but wasn't expecting much.

Having watched it, I can see why it did well. It is beautifully filmed and slightly different to your run of the mill films.

Worth a watch if you like cars and music

Watched Blended with Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore last night and could recommend that. I'm an admirer of Sandler though. I think his films are great.

I fully expected to be as disapointed by Alien Covenant as I had been by Promethius however I loved it. Great special effects and fast moving.

Adam Sandler was good a long time ago, over the last 10 years most of his movies have been tragic/embarrassing. Still somehow making money though which is beyond me........

Some great lines, great and gratuitously over the top action, and Elton John snap kicking bitches with rocket man platform boots on.

    A solid 7.5 out of 10

    Very entertaining
Really? I thought it was one of the worst films I've ever seen! Glad we're not all the same and I'm sure just as many people loved it that hated it.

Really, I thought it very slow until 5 minutes before then end, then desperately tried to explain everything in the overblown & underacted showdown!

I watched this last night, enjoyable, but not really life-changing.
I think a good soundtrack makes a movie, but I thought it was a massive case of style over substance to be honest with the gratuitous messing around with his i-pod. It wouldn't have surprised me in a Tarantino movie, he ponces around with those pointless bits too ("Hey, look at this cool track that I know and you've never heard of... I'm frickin' awesome").

I watched Guardians of the Galaxy 2 the other day. Very enjoyable couple of popcorn munching hours. Maybe it was trying a little too hard but I enjoyed it none the less.

  24. #4224
I took a punt on American Assassin last night. I think I've read one of the books, but probably not this one, so I didn't have a lot to go on.

I thought it was perfectly adequate. Some bits of nonsense, but mostly all right.

I know it's been mentioned before but I watched "Predestination" last night and really enjoyed it.

"Rememory" with Peter Dinklage is also worth a watch.

I saw 'war dogs' the other day.

I enjoyed it. I like that fat bloke. He's not just a slapstick onetrick pony.
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.

One worth watching if you are over 35. One not worth watching.

The loneliness of the long distance runner. Michael redgrave. Tom courtney .john thaw. Great film imho have seen it loads of times. .

Also watched a cowboys and aliens which in my view was Crap , a big disapointment considering it stared Daniel craig and Harrison ford. Amazon gives it a 4 star rateing so it might just be me

Cowboys and Aliens - not just you, utter crap, even Olivia Wilde getting her kit off couldn't make it worth watching.

  31. #4231
Watched "I don't feel at home in this world anymore" on Netflix the other day. It was surprisingly good. Dark and gritty.

I thought the first one was a decent film the second one not as good but definitely worth a watch; you can tell they spent more money on it but putting more stars in a film doesn't always make it better

i like the the fact these films don't take themselves too seriously and they're pretty funny in places; some of the stunt work was pretty impressive too... proper don't have think films for me

If you can - avoid IT. waste of money.

The kid actors were funny and thats about it. Seemed like a parody more than a remake of the orginial IT.

Finally watch Baby Driver recently & enjoyed it.

    Also watched 6 Days...

In April 1980, armed gunmen stormed the Iranian Embassy in Princes Gate, London and took all inside hostage.
Over the next six days a tense standoff took place, all the while a group of ...

So basically a remake of Who Dares Wins - but with a bit more content from inside the cabinet
I thought it was pretty good

Watched "Moon" again yesterday evening. Something really enjoyable about that film and I think it's superb. Sam Rockwell is great and I like the soundtrack by Clint Mansell a lot.

Just got back, I loved it (missus was bit bored though .. ) Visuals and sound design were absolutely spectacular, need some time to think about it to see if I really loved the movie or I was just in nostalgic mood.

Yes, I saw Blade Runner 2049 today as well. It was a visual and audio triumph. The story got complicated (for me) but I hung with it and didn't get too lost by the ending.

If you are into well-done futuristic thrillers, this one is a MUST SEE!

Ive just tried to book a seat at my local cinema and none are available for today. Looks like this is going to be big hit.

Being as I control my working hours I usually go to the cinema during week days when its quieter, however I am feeling a little impatient to see this one!
