    Remember watching him in the 60’s as a kid and trying to emulate him (and Pele) whenever kicking a ball about outside RIP my hero

    Remember seeing him the '66 World Cup.

    I think Sir Geoff Hurst is the sole survivor of that peerless team now.

    That's great news.

    The highlight of my young sporting life was to see England lift the World Cup.

    BTW Sir Geoff Hurst was at the London stadium last night to watch West Ham's victory over Rapid Vienna and he looked really good.
