    Lovely looking watch
On a separate note, what is fake lume?
Am assuming you mean faux patina.
So original had faux patina too?

Are we saying that Breguet make homage watches?

Faux patina sorry. The original had yellow coloured lume. According to the guy who was Breitling's design consultant for this piece (Fred something or other who is a big vintage Breitling collector) the lume colour of the reissue is exactly the same as the colour of the lume on the original when it was produced.

No just that this design was what led to the Type 20 spec produced by Breguet among others (Dodane, Airain etc). This design pre dates those watches.

Get yourself ver to MWR. there are few lads over there that will be able to help you get a movement / alternative and a new crystal

As another person of 1980 vintage and CWC nut I like it and its well worth getting sorted.

Watched a review of this on ‘Just One More Watch’. It seems to be a lot of watch for the money. Great size also. Enjoy.

    Morning,
Sorry I don’t, I picked it up off a fellow forum member. Perhaps place a WTB.

I looked at buying this towards the end of last year and it finally arrived this week. Explorer II 16570, polar dial. Full set.

The photo is dark as it's a nod towards the caving history!

Has to be the one with 70 and 80 on the outer bezel in Orange, the other one just doesn't cut the mustard

Difficult decision...I contemplated the COSC one too but in all honesty couldn't justify the extra £'s just on the movement. I'm guessing the outer dive/decompression bezel is a metres one?

More for fitness than as a new watch but going to wear it 24/7 for a bit and see how I get on. Quite good so far and interesting data, just wonder how accurate it is around sleep and stress.

    With thanks to Andrew.
These are nice, should have got one earlier

A brief list of the differences...
    - different movement
    - different case shape and size
    - different bezel
    - different dial design
    - different hand set
    - different bracelet
    - different end link design and case integration
    - different clasp
    - different WR

...but other than that, almost exactly the same :-)

I think that’s correct about the outer bezel.

The 300 is certainly more svelte and the ‘super dome’ crystal on the 300 vs flat crystal on the 300T (forgot to add that to the list of differences above), along with the slimmer case and integrated end links on the 300 all give the watch a very different look and feel.

Thats a great looking watch Steve, what colour is the dial though? It’s looks black so a Sharkhunter but obviously it’s not. I thought the Caribbean was a much lighter blue?

Don't write off the existing movement, I've rescued several of these with a service. They're very susceptible to dirt/grime and if the circuits ok, they'll often spring back to like with a bit of TLC.

Two new arrivals in one shot. Orange NS strap, and Sinn 857UTC.

I think I’ve got a keeper here, the Sinn is everything I was looking for.

That looks nice, I do like these Damasko, the yellow doesn't work for me personally but I'm tempted by the Orange Dsub3
How do you find the Hirsch Robby? I really like the style/design but sizing was an issue for me

The Orange is very nice too. I have an orange PO so yellow works best for me.

As for the Hirsh. Seems quality and is very comfortable.

I think my problem with the Hirsch is my skinny wrists,
I've tried both the orange and blue on some of my watches as I like the style but they weren't quite right for me. The Yellow looks good on your Damasko a good combination
