Bit of a thread resurrection but I have little else to do while l laid up with a bad back.

I only have the one white dial and it is this Seiko Silverwave:

Bought as a source of spares for my black dialled Silverwave but, after I had unpacked it, I realised that it is much too nice to break up. The dial has three dimensional stripes which creates my favourite detail: the reflection of the stripes in the batons.

Not only is the dial striped but the tops of the raised stripes are textured to give it a bit of sparkle which I have tried to capture in the photo below.

Excuse the iffy white balance but I can't match it when editing on the phone.

Love the white dial OP. Think it may be my favorite current Rolex.

This one came and went quite quickly. I did like it but would always have picked the EXP2 polar from the safe first.

I have a slight addiction to white faced watches.

Have a new (to me) B01 Chronomat arriving tomorrow. Also with a white face!

My 2 but I wish I had hung on to the Explorer II I got rid of a few years ago. That was a perfect watch thinking back about it.

I like these a lot. Bit Marmite like you say. But then I bloody love Marmite.

New (to me) B01 Chronomat 44 arrived today.

That makes it 4-2 to the white / cream faced timepieces.

Loving this too much not to pander it around every vaguely-applicable thread

...and yes, it is arguably cream, not white. Bovvered!?

It’s a 1950’s model with an FHF27 movement. It was restored by Brendan (webwatchmaker).

It falls 7 days after the grand prix, a traditional festival

    That is beutiful.
I started looking at these and was considering a 99.1.
Is this based on that and is it a limited edition?

I’m not sure whether it is a limited edition, but it’s a smaller 38.5mm diameter with a special Dornbluth in-house movement. I love it...

Ah ok, I did wonder if it was the smaller version. I am looking at the 42mm one.
    Very classy and understated.
