To hell with it, I'm starting a Coronavirus boredom thread, like a total hypocrite...
I've completed Netflix, I've done all the Youtube I can stand, the logical thing to do is to bugger about with my watches.
Just a quick heat on this link as a test, I quite like the effect although I didn't even bother cleaning that tester and I think I could go hotter to get it blued.
Will I persist with the rest or just give it up as a bad job?
I think it looks pretty good so I'll say persist. If you eff it up, you could always frame the piece and stick it on the wall for posterity.
What watch are you going to put it on?
I think you should do it, but then I died a white camo 6900 jet black for a real stealth look so what do I know??!!
You could also try quenching them in oil too.
It could give a slightly different effect.
Good luck!
I think it would look great if you could get it to 'blue'. I suspect achieving consistency may be tricky though...
I'm impressed that you've got through so much on Netflix - I'm self-isolating with Mrs Mycroft who has radically different tastes to me and so there's loads I haven't felt able to watch!

Fantastic, I will admit I was just needing a couple of nudges to get it done. Disassembly can begin.
I think it looks great. How will it match to the head and bezel though? Planning on doing the bezel?
I disagree don't do it...these are a great watch and to me the only thing i don't like is the over shiny bezel.
I think it would look great
I agree in trying to blue it with oil would make it look very cool.
Isn't true heat bluing really quite challenging, which is why it's such a selling point on high end watches?
Heat colouring is rather easier, but getting it to blue is another level.
You might find this interesting.

Well I did a couple of links and then picked up part of the clasp so I guess I'm past the point of no return.
Not perfect, gloriously imperfect, I think I'm happy with what's coming out. It's a G-Shock-only exercise though, I'm not trying this with a proper watch, we all know Gs don't count.
OH dear god no, must be in the top ten ways to ruin a watch
I guess it could end up becoming one of those rainbow watches (not a fan) but if it works out well it could look like a lovely, distressed model (not like the below)

This is both a brilliant and a terrible idea at the same time.
All parts ruined, just let it all cool off and put it back together.
Sorry if I missed it, but out of interest, what's your method in this madness?
Can’t wait to see it assembled, I think it’s going to look cool 😎
Done! Will I do it again? Hell, no. Am I glad I did this one? Hell, yeah!
Not to everyone's taste, but I'm happy with it.
Well I think it looks pretty cool. At least it's different.
I actually think that looks really good. I'd wear it.
Cracking job, well done that man.
Cheers,
Ben

I really like how that’s turned out!
Didn't work on my resin version
I was right, really cool! I’d definitely wear it :)
I think it's absolutely bloody brilliant.
Don't just do something, sit there. - TNH
Love it!
One of a kind now!
Can we have more pics please...?

Looks good
I would probably preferred a combination.
Heat color the bezel and the bracelet, leave the case as it is.
Looks fine and it is definitely a one and only original. It will be interesting to see if the colours change over time.

Looks good to me.
Frantically going through my old watch drawer for a volunteer.
You have me thinking about doing the same to my one now :)
I love the madness of this place, I'm bored so I will heat up my watch until it changes colour 😂
I like it Paul, good job, but I wouldn't try it on a Rolex though.
That looks really good! I'm almost tempted with mine now! Can't wait for a few more pics at different angles.
I think that's rather cool, and not a little brave.
