[QUOTE=neilf1965;5625077]Built over quite a while! Case is homage (Merkur) but built exactly to gen spec and size. I have seen a genuine pre owned case but it is too beat up. Crystal is updated sapphire and movement is Seiko NH35 ( keeping time to +2 sec a day). Everything else is OEM, dial, hands, bezel, insert and full bracelet. I love it.....
Excellent! I've not heard of Merkur but looks like good stuff. Well done.

After a period of modding Seikos I’ve now started using Seiko parts to create some custom builds.
This one uses a Bliger case, NH35, King Turtle dial which I’ve aged and some aged hands and bezel.
I really enjoy wearing this one, it’s super comfy and I think it looks great.

A favourite of mine this one started life as a SRP diver, I modded the case so it would accept a NOS/OEM bezel from the MM300 and a shroud and fitted a MM300 dial and hands, in the flesh I think it looks superb.

Back from the shop: the dressy and the tool.
Dressy isn't finished... the ceramic blue bezel insert did not fit with the top hat chrystal so I put an original insert for the mo.
Have to go shopping now!

Mine is pretty modest in comparison to most here. Wanted to keep it looking close to the original whilst improving on the "Features".
So it's got an NH36A, Clear AR double domed bevel edge sapphire, Lumed flat ceramic bezel and a Strapcode Angus Jubilee.
Life and watches. More than I need less than I want.

That is seriously nice. Makes me actually want one Sent from my SM-N960F using TZ-UK mobile app
Two SRPA-21-K1
The one on the right I bought from here with the sapphire crystal already fitted but I added a coin edge bezel with a lumed Black ceramic insert.
The one on the left I've just got back from Seiko after having a new movement fitted (running at +1 spd) so today I just fitted the sapphire crystal and added another coin edge bezel with a Blue lumed ceramic insert.
Alignment is spot on on both although it dosn't look like it in the pictures.
Blue Bezel
Black Bezel

It came with two Nato's, The original bracelet and dial along with the sailcloth strap that's fitted in the pics,,
HAGWE everyone!!

Here's my modded Seiko.... 6309-7290:
I am not normally one for modded watches but I have looked at The Tiger UK's TST's and they do look lovely. So I fished out a slightly sorry looking 6309-7290 out of my drawer and sent it to Tiger John for TST conversion. I asked him to drill the lugs, but don't sterilise the caseback, I didn't want to lose the watch's original identity.
Then I sent it to Duncan (The Watch Bloke) for full movement service, but no good ideas about which dial and hands to use. Duncan suggested why not go down the all genuine Seiko route? An excellent idea, so I bought an NOS 7C46-7008 Golden Tuna dial, a set of SBDX012 Limited Edition gold hands, and an NOS 6159-7001 sweep second hand, finished off with an SKX011 bezel and 6105 crystal.
So here it is looking lovely, a 6309-7290 TST assembled using only genuine Seiko parts:
This one has been built from scratch by a mate for me:

The case is a Seikomods one that will take most things that a SKX will take, SKX case back with a Seiko NH35A movement, MM style bezel with a personalized insert really like it and wears well :)
Now with blue bezel insert

Here’s mine. Skx007 with polished chapter ring, new bezel, lumed ceramic bezel insert, double dome blue tinted sapphire crystal and watchgecko jubilee bracelet. Next up will be the addition of a signed crown. I also have a “great wave” luminous dial by Lucius Atelier and a new handset, but may fit them to a different watch as I quite like this as it is, and don’t want to screw it up.

I have a no date version of this, probably from the same original modder (bought used off this forum), as it came with the same strap as well!
I'm selling mine, thought can't post in this sales forum yet.
Really enjoyed it over the last 7yrs and it's seen a lot of wrist time. I still can't justify the official reproductions (and probably never will) but it's been good to have something a bit similar for a while.
I think I've decided that the black dial & bezel close the face up a bit much for my tastes so am looking for something a bit more open / brighter to replace it.
Not so much show me your modded Seiko; more like what is it?
I received it in a bundle of part-ex goodies and have done nothing with it so far. I do like it and will start wearing it, so would be grateful if the serial modders on here could tell me a bit about it.
Thanks in advance.
