Congrats Paul it’s a stunner :-)
Turdor's have a appealed since the release of the Black Bay Red, I remember the first time seeing one in the AD in Norwich with a pal and it was a real 'wow' moment.
A bit out of my price range so I had to be patient, but last November I popped a WTB up and was fortunate to pick up a lovely ETA version (cheers Iain) which I absolutely adored.
But, after a few weeks of Tudor ownership I caught sight of the Bronze offering and I was sold. The case colour, like nothing in my collection appealed as did the fantastic Tudor leather, larger case size and the explorer like dial.
So, fast forward to last weekend and a post on SC and WTB and a Bronze was landed. I really wanted to hang onto the Red, but I (well Mrs P!!!!!) have a strict one in and one out rule and everything else in my collection are real keepers.
My BBB was purchased new by one of TZ's top blokes in November last year and then was moved on earlier this year before making its way to me, cheers to Stephen and Steven. Given the turn around, the watch is obviously not everyones cup of tea and I can get this given its size and colour, I would also rather not say what Mrs P calls it on the Tudor NATO which again is sheer quality.
So here it is and I think it will be with me for a long time.
Cheers

Great watch, I'm wearing mine today, that leather strap is something special.............rather sadly I also have a fully enforceable contract with the Mrs that requires one to leave the fold as one enters :(
Lovely watch. wouldn't mind a bronze myself if funds allowed.

Very nice! I have a bronze watch from another brand and love the colour. Eager to see if/how this colour changes over time. Enjoy!
That looks great Paul, and glad you got what you were after!
I missed my Red, and whilst keeping a look out for a Blue tried a Black in a shop and the rest is history. It’s on my old Red bracelet now, I prefer the original one to the newer rivet bracelet.
Lovely colours, bronze does work well
Still prefer the carl brashear from oris or maybe the christian ward bronze to this one but still tudor bays are a nice looking watch overall.
Really nice piece, i do like bronze watches but the ones i fancy like the pam 382 are silly money.
Congratulations Paul
That looks stunning, especially matched with that strap.
I have been tempted a couple of times with getting a watch made from bronze. And this model would be a serious contender.
Many thanks chaps for your kind words.
Great to see the bracelet being put to good use Iain, watch looks fantastic and as lovely as the Bronze looks Tony it doesn’t come close to the 16710.
Have an enjoyable end to the BH weekend folks.
Paul
Love the 3 6 9 dial, great that Tudor did more than just change the case material.

Lovely watch OP - mines a very similar story. Couldn't afford the RRP on release, nor the premium they were attracting. Sooooo glad i waited until they were available on the used market at a more affordable price.
Absolutely love everything about mine - the "explorer dial", the dial and bezel insert colours, the case shape and size. I love the way it can be dressed up or down with the change of a strap. With 23mm lugs getting straps is a bit of a pain, but the two it comes with are great, and i was lucky mine came with a third, and am just about to order an Erica's Original for it as well.
I also have the Blue ETA version, and I'm starting to think they may be all the watches i need.
Looks great Skip and funny you should mention Erika......ordered mine a couple of days ago.

Will look forward to seeing pics of the Erika straps. I have mine on a 24mm black NATO which I think really suits the watch. Bronze metalwork finishes it nicely. 20180316_154916.jpg

The NATO does look blinking good Rob, I will add one.
Regards Erika's Originals, I have opted for the vintage with bronze hardware, of course.

I've got mine on an Erika strap, but one made of leather from a vintage ammo bag. Bronze buckle which is developing patina.
Nice Paul! A bit of experimentation with straps is required as it all adds to the fun of Watch ownership... a nice cream cordura maybe?
I rarely wear mine now.. but had it on the other day and it's blackened up quite nicely in the safe - I had one of the 1st ones and so its almost 2 years old.. (arrived in MAY 2016 IIRC)
A very nice watch indeed. Congrats on the buy.
I do miss that one which i had but unfortunately had to move on to give way to other priorities...

Great look on the woven / fabric straps. Just goes to show how a strap can radically change the whole feel of a watch.
The BBB is a good looking watch, I like them more every time I see them.
Very nice :)
That's quite the collection! The Black Bay is glorious – I've tried a few, and after going for the Pelagos instead, twice, it's definitely time for a BB.
Ordered Tuesday evening, on wrist Friday lunch time! certainly a case of "you get what you pay for" as once sized correctly it is the most comfortable strap i own. Will definitely be getting one for the Black Bay Blue when funds allow.
Can't fault the service from Erika - highly recommended.
How the heck did you get yours first??????
Looks absolutely fantastic buddy, hopefully mine will land any day.

Looks great! Wasn’t aware she did leather straps as well. How long have you had the watch to get that colour?
Hi all, pretty new here but loving the content and the chat.
I joined the BBB club a few weeks ago and it is definitely getting its fair share of wrist time, I haven’t even cracked open the nato yet as I love the look of the leather so much, which is surprising as well don’t normally wear a diver on leather. The patina has already started to develop which adds another element of enjoyment to me... and it matches the dog!
I have to say the straps you guys have look fantastic, lovely combos and now well and truly on my radar.
Great watches and great posts.

Welcome buddy and good to hear you are enjoying TZ.
It’s amazing the colour difference, I popped into my AD yesterday for a tidy up on the black DSSD clasp and there was a Bronze in the cabinet, shine was incredible

Plenty on the net, from cola to tooth paste to lemon juice and bicarb. I tried most of them on my old PRS30, and all worked to a certain extent, but would never get it back to new. I now use Brasso. Frowned on by some as it has it is abrasive and can take of case brushing, I find a few drops on a soft tissue requires only a few wipes to remove all patina and bring it back to new.

After
I remember when new it almost looked like yellow gold. 4 months in and mine is darkening a little.
