    Custom DLC Moser Pioneer!

So, a while ago, I listed my stainless steel Moser Pioneer for sale to finance a DLC version. My sale gained next to no interest, so I took a bit of a gamble and sent my Pioneer to https://www.garrick.co.uk for a DLC treatment.

It's just returned and looks great! The DLC has a beautiful satin finish - just like my Cartier ADLC Santos back in the day. None of the fine detail has been lost - so the striation in the scallops looks exactly the same as it did before.

Now to see if I can put the strap back on without gauging a big scratch in it!

Blimey - kudos to you, Simon, for having the cojones. It looks great but please post some more photos once the strap is on (and from a little further away).

Ditto. That was a brave move but in your initial pictures it does look very good. Congratulations and I hope you enjoy it.

They did an amazing job on the DLC. To keep all that details would not be easy.

That does look really flawless. Just had a look on the Garrick site to see how much it costs; I think I'll leave my SKX as it is then.

    Looks great!
Couple of quick questions- Are other finishes (not satin) possible and is it reversible?

Garrick offer a bead blasting treatment before applying the DLC to get a matte finish. I don’t know if it’s reversible, but I doubt it.

Looks great and as others have said, kuddos to you for having the balls to do it.

What does it mean for service and warranty??

Nice one Simon. Certainly gives it a new look. The dial/case/strap combo works really well IMO.

    Congratulations.

How important is the condition of the case, prior to treatment?

I don't know how important, but it is a factor. Garrick needed to see the condition of the watch before giving a final quote.

To everybody else: thanks for the kind words!

That looks fantastic, Moser is stealthy enough but this takes it to ninja level

That looks amazing! They certainly did a beautiful job there, very impressive.

Does the watch appear to wear a little smaller now that it is black?

I'm not the first to say this, but it bears saying again- Good God that looks amazing! You should be proud of yourself for seeing this through to such a brilliant outcome.

It does look great and I’m probably with most when I say I don’t think I’d have the balls for it .
