Seamaster 2255.80 that I picked up a couple of months ago, but went straight off for a service.
Back on my wrist this week & looking superb with the new black 2254 bezel!
(Thanks to Walkerwek1958 - great watch servicing!)

First g shock on a bracelet, really impressed. Very light/comfortable, and so easy to resize with the spring bar/link system.

I like that. The little bit of red livens up the watch.

No, that's the same one, same bracelet. But a lot more than Amazon charge!

Getcha. When you stated "bracelet", I assumed you meant it was metal.

Awesome, thanks. So is the band made of resin? Does it wear or feel much different to a ‘normal’ bracelet?

This is a decidedly daft post, but hopefully a bit entertaining.

A couple of months ago, I got a Globemaster as my daily wearer. This Seiko Presage had been my daily for the previous 12 months or so, and once I was sure it had been superseded, I decided that I would sell it, and put some of the money towards upgrading my beater, which has been a Seiko 5 (an SNZG13)

I put it on SC at £350...no interest; I lowered it to £300...still nothing; I lowered it to £250...and at this point I realised something......

My specs for a new beater were going to be black dial, brushed oyster bracelet, good readability, a reliable movement, about 40mm, budget £250; if the Presage was only worth £250 then this was an excellent candidate for my beater! So I sold it to myself, and have reintroduced it to my collection, after a couple of months tucked away in its box.

And it feels great to have it back on the wrist. It's a really good fit for me, very comfortable. I've always found the feuille hands and Breguet numerals more amusing than refined, so ceasing to lavish care and attention on it won't feel odd. My life is pretty gentle, so it's not like it's going to be getting covered in deep gouges.

Now I have to decide what to do with the SNZG13 - even unworn they don't cost much, so I doubt there's much point in my selling it, I'll just tuck it away, to sit in reserve.

Well, I had said goodbye to it in a very sincere way (all packaged up etc), so I have just said hello to it...and in different light.

I fully get you and sometimes why we need to step back and simply enjoy what we have. We like watches, we’re allowed to have a few

Cheers, all ready to battle the Mekon. The original plastic stand is in pretty good nick as well.

    That is brilliant!

I have a late 40s Gene Autry six-shooter wrist watch in the same vein where the revolver bobs about at the 7 position.

That’s very cool. I’d only ever seen Jacques Droz style haute horology automata watches before. Apparently Smiths had a range of different ones. Maybe Eddie could relaunch them.

38mm, no red tipped second hand so should kill the watch addiction for me (I hope!). Have ordered a nice brown Di Modell Anfibio waterproof watch strap so after it arrives it'll be time to sell, sell, sell.

    Latest arrival.

Classic speedie. Had a reduced previously.

Not sure I see the fuss. Solid watch but not giving me the wow!

It’s very rare that I buy anything quartz. Must be at least 20 years ago since the last one but I fell for this as soon as I saw it on SC.

Thanks to Chris for the somewhat brilliant sale. I can see this getting a fair bit of wear as it’s just so straightforward, simple and wearable.
