Will the closed 6s date wheel be original to a 1966 1675?
Googled images of the gilt chapter ring GMT - it's a difficult feature to spot!
(Then realised - 'chapter ring' is the hour/minute marker 'ring')

a full set gilt would be @13-15K but it would be well spent
you cannot lose money on it problem is you wont ever want to sell it even if you need the 15K back

This thread really doesn’t help. I’d shelved the search for a full set birth year Fat Lady in excellent condition due to them being like hens teeth. Now I’ve restarted.

Any chance of a macro pic of the chapter ring - I'm struggling to see the difference between models.
Looked online - but nothing stands out
Bob's doesn't have a chapter ring, that is a feature on even earlier watches. If you look at Bob's the minute markers just end at the dial edge, on a chapter ring dial there is a circle on the outer edge of the dial joining up all the minute markers.

I tend to leave it a month between wearing so the date is nearly right.
Polished? Not in my ownership. Prior to that, most definitely.
I thought gilt stood for gilt lettering - i.e. Rolex and GMT-Master were in 'yellow' text, as opposed to the pure white of the later models. There are differences in gilt dials (chapter rings, hands), and in later dials (radial is the big money in white lettered dials I think).

To think that when I bought my 5513 I passed over the Gilt ones because they looked old and not like moder rolex subs - they were only slightly more expensive in those days, still can't complain as my 5513 has more or less tripled in price
My current horological regret is passing over a birth month 5513 from Blowers two years ago because I though a 16760 might come up...

Stunning Bob and I'm a massive fan of GMTs and had a few Gilt , Radial dial and stupidly let them go but the date used to drive me up the wall .
I now have a matte Dial GMT 16750 , best of both worlds although I'd get round the date issue with yours Bob .
Cheers Mark, yep this ones a bit special looks like new in the flesh, had the T38 fitted but still got the original cyclops plexi, as you know with gilts it’s important to see the dial as any imperfections don’t always show up in pics but this has a perfect mirror gloss dial even under a loupe. It’s one of the few watches I have seen that made me go WOW.
